Started watching you guys about a year ago with Own the impact zone and have been following ever since. Your explanations on how the swing works holistically, especially in relation to the spirals are amongst the best instructional videos ever released on this platform. I have reduced my index as a result but much more importantly I’ve enjoyed the process of better understanding what my body is capable of doing if activated in the correct sequence. No magic this or that, just sensible understanding of sequence and flow. Thank you so much for your generosity in sharing.
My friend! Really appreciate you saying that. Very cool that you’ve been with us since the very beginning of this journey with TH-cam! Glad you’re hitting it well and let us know if we can help in any way 🙏
the way i've been doing it is trying to stay somewhat centered then left hand, left shoulder, left arm, left hip, left knee all back and up to the top with stable wrists then left side opening coming down and having the chest facing down. I've kinda grooved it and it happens so fast like you say so I just key on the left side moves and being lefthanded golfing right it works for me. i'm 74 yrs old, 13 hdcp. and golfing for close to 50 yrs. i enjoy your channel, thnx.
Only been watching your content for about 2 weeks already showed real change in ball striking and have been starting my swing with the rib sway withpressurein rightfoot(thanks to layeral proceeds rotation video).and vastly improved the start to my swing. Having a little trouble with the forward sway but working on it Definitely going to try the Roryism leg move! Best content I have ever seen Well done gents 👏
Another outstanding video, I know by experience if you don't start your swing with the proper chest rotation and start your swing with your hands, I hit hosal rockets, no less than 8 times before I figured out what I was doing wrong!
I really love your concept and I am already improving my ballstriking. One general symptom I (right handed) have with your system is, that my flared out left foot flares out even more and my left knee follows of course, which feels like turning my the left knee too much to the target in the downswing. Maybe you could give info on how the left foot and left knee (or left leg) should behave in some of your following videos. Keep up the great work you do! thank you
Yes absolutely! We do have a number of videos on this. Myth busting video, don’t turn the hips and foot action video on here will give you kore insight into what our beliefs are
I really feel like this topic would be augmented by talking about the intention of the body movement. Ie everything you describe is intended as a counter movement to the weight of the club as it is slung like a hammer throw. The rib sway, the spiral rotation, the pelvic drop, the intent behind all of those movements is to counter the clubs weight and sling it. You nail all of the movements of course, it would just be awesome to also include the intent behind the movements. Perhaps a topic for a future video?
Hi guys, just wondered about wrist hinge and how this figures, eg. There was a short you guys did a couple of weeks ago talking about trail wrist hinge and I’m not sure how it ties in here?
Couple of different ways to get the COM of club working up. One is radial in the backswing and the other is a small amount of pronation accompanied with extension of trail wrist. Just depends on how shut you want the face
The Roryism is a really important piece. I used to crash into that space with my lead knee. Nowhere to go - end up flipping at it. I played some great golf like that but also some terrible golf 😂 the thing I find most difficult working on this idea is getting the club more vertical and in front so my lead arm isn’t restricting rib sway in transition pinned against my chest. Hard to break old habits but golf balls are getting thumped with way more face stability already. Waves are building 🌊 💪🏼 keep em coming fellas. 🏌️♂️
Could you do an analysis of Martin Borgmeier? I think he loads like you are saying in his trigger load routine pivoting and then strike… is he doing some of what you are talking about or not at all? Thanks for amazing content all the time!
th-cam.com/users/shortsHsEGH6-_FU8?si=HTURxwLLg-xtJulf Watcha think? His lower body is engaging his spirals? Does he then switch to a jumping pelvic extension lead hip pivot or does he trail hip pivot rotational horizontal drive? Can you dissect him? Would be a sick video.
Great video! I recently watched your pitching lesson and am very impressed. (Of course, I watched every single videos more than 5 times😅) Do you have plan to make chipping shot lesson video too? I am very looking forward to it!
I think I’m left foot dominant and right hand. I snowboard goofy, shoot pool lefty, and generally do much better in sagittal plane sports when my target is to my right. Been trying some of the body drills and everything feels more natural as a lefty from the perspective of the spiral lines. Have you ever seen someone switch hit or go lefty later in life?
Great Elite , I find this first move from the ankle mobility . Very important for all golfers. You speak of Infinity , spiraling of the chest the ankles do the same thing in the ground forces . Point me in the right direction if this doesn't sound right . Diffidently chest the Engine ? Transmission is out through the arms to the hands snap of the wrist pass the ball . Where are you located ? Cheers
Correct , but most golfer go wrong from the start , with poor ankle mobility . They have trouble with there swing from the ground. So should be able to feel the mobility in your ankles in the golf swing. Helps tremendously leaning the spiraling of the chest you speak of. Great stuff. It would be great for you to have a video of how the ankles move in the golf swing ? The Infinity moves would be easier to understand and perform. Cheers .
After rib sway and turning your chest are you actively raising your lead arm ? Or flinging it up with momentum from rib sway and chest turn ? thanks gents
@@elitegolfschools awesome love all the videos my biggest issue is i can hit it straight/ in play with a full swing but it goes like 200 yards max maybe 225. Im big but i exercise i back squat a max 485lbs and deadlift a max of 550 so i have the strength/power kust cant seem to get distance which kills my game cause im always having to hit hybrids or woods to try and hit the greens inshould add my irons also get no distance either i hit a 7 iron on avg 125 yds. Anyways thanks for replying and hope to see a video out at some point addressing tips for us Husky golfers
I have a habit of completing my hip turn immediately, getting inside and lifting to the top, so I've been working on the rib sway and keeping hands in front. Down the line my swing looks great with this, but face on my head (not pelvis) sways 4 inches off the ball. What might cause this?
Great video, especially the sequencing.tho its milliseconds! But the backswing should be primarily be influenced by the intention of how youre going to move from transition through the ball, just like any other sport youve been good at.Took me years to get this! made worse by golf being one of the few static sports
My knees do the opposite when i rib sway, which means im closing to target(opening up early in backswing) instead of opening up to target (staying closed to backswing).
As absolute garbage I am currently. I used this content to become a great ball striker. However I progressed way to fast and wasn’t able to maintain it. Incredible content
he's got a funky looking golf swing and it looks super stiff compared to TJ's... Probably part of the reason in the driver video that he has very low speed( for a good player I mean 160 is fine for club level players).. would love to see his move in a year if he's working on it hard

What is your take on hip sway with this lately movement
Hips don’t sway much (a little) ribs sway is good 👌

A little sway in the head actually isn’t a bad thing… but a bit more brace with the trail leg could keep you more centered
