This video was great fun to watch, beautifully done with lots of information. I grew up in Hingham and am moving to Sawyer's Reach in Plymouth in Aug. The South Shore truly is a slice of heaven.

Of course these are great, AND pricey, even for us natives!

Thanks Lulu! Definitely more pricey to live on the coastlines, but worth it depending on what lifestyle homeowners are looking for! ⭐

Come on! I live in Marshvegas and it’s not in the top five. Downtown is a dump with an ocean State Job Lot as an anchor. Brant rock is even more run down. BUT!! I wouldn’t trade my house on the River for anything.

    What happened to Marshfield?

Hi Mike - Marshfield is TOP 10 no doubt. It has so many areas that would be wonderful to call home (Marshfield, Marshfield Hills, Ocean Bluff-Brant Rock, and Cedar Crest, and shares the Green Harbor with the town of Duxbury) as well as excellent schools and beaches!

Tell me something! I live on the river and can hit the water with a rock from my decks. A quarter mile down river is the spit and in an IBH (important, bird habitat)
How much is a house on the water worth compared to the same house not on the water. I tell the wife that our view and location is worth more than the house and the comps are not at all comparable. Watcha think??

I completely agree with you. The same house in the same condition will have a different market value based on its location, acreage, views, privacy and believe it or not who lives next door. So you are correct, having said that there is no formula I can give you, meaning because you live on a river you can add x number of dollars above if you didn't.
That's why part of our job is to conduct individual market evaluations for each property to properly assess them and provide accuracy to the homeowners.
I hope this makes sense and of course happy to provide you with a complimentary evaluation at any time, email me at Susana@alanterealestate.com, Cheers!
