Welcome back Krizz, I enjoyed your reaction. This was a heart felt performance and Angelina looked gorgeous singing it. There is so much more she has done and I can't wait to see you react to them.
Nice reaction, thanks Krizz. The ability this girl has to captivate and move the people who listen to her is absolutely incredible, as is her sensitivity in choosing and interpreting the song for this ceremony. This performance of her is fascinating and wonderfully intimate, she reinterpreted this legendary song and adapted it perfectly to the emotion of the homage to the painful story of Narges Mohammadi! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way 7 years after the last time and in the same studio and certainly also with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps towards his musical future. Here Angelina was simply fantastic and wonderfully "unchained", probably the only singer who at only 17 years old has already sung on 2 different occasions at the celebrations of Nobel Prizes.💛🧡❤
Angelina performed her originals Love Don’t Let Me Go, Million Miles, Now I’m the Fool, Diamond and Princess of Ruins and 15 other amazing songs for a total of 38 songs at her spectacular mesmerizing unforgettable performances at her Las Vegas concerts on Feb.29th. and please consider reacting to these concerts. Angelina has a treasure chest of masterpieces, but she must be experienced live to get the full effect of her greatness! The band was awesome and let Angelina's magical vocals wow everyone in the audience. There are 4k video and hi rez audio by Merrilee Gaines of some of Angelina Jordan’s performances from this concert including the must watch One Moment in Time, Unchained Melody, Diamond,, Love Don’t Let Me Go and her new anthem masterpiece Princess of Ruins which is about why she sings barefoot in every performance on stage. Another spectacular Angelina video of Unchained Melody with a cameo by 9 and 17 year old Angie and Elvis by the talented Joey Farr is a must see to be believed.. Other spectacular videos of this concert by James Thiel of some of Angelina's performances from this concert including One Moment in Time, Diamonds are Forever, Hero, When We Were Young, Mercy, Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down), Suspicious Minds, Bohemian Rhapsody and All I Ask also BigAngieFan has 4k Princess of Ruins, Moon River, Stay, My Funny Valentine, Unchained Melody, Million Miles and Diamond! Also consider reacting to her recent documentary Angelina Jordan, 10 Years in the Making that is 16 minutes long, and also has some behind the scenes footage from her historic Las Vegas concerts.
Great reaction This performance was from December last year. Angelina was still 17. She turned 18 on January 10 In February she had two concerts (same night) in Las Vegas. It was an amazing show.
I thought "Unchained Melody" was a odd choice for this event, but have since learned the history of the song. More on that later. Certainly Angelina was thrilled to be performing back in her home country of Norway, where she is a national treasure, but this performance goes way beyond that honor. She first performed at the Save the Children event at the 2014 Peace Prize event, when she was 8 years old. With regard to the Peace Prize, the will of Alfred Nobel stipulated that it was to be awarded to the person "who shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses". Over the course of time the Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded in recognition of many different kinds of peace work and concepts of peace. Narges Mohammadi was this years' recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Narges was, at the time of this tribute, on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two children spoke on her behalf at this event. Most of the performers were Iranian. We know Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, grew up in Iran and was a prodigy for painting and poetry. We can imagine the conversations Mery had with Angelina about Narges. This performance had to be extremely meaningful to Angelina and her family. I hope all the angels will spread the story of Narges and her mission, with the hope for change. In 1954, Alex North was contracted to compose the score for the prison film Unchained (released in 1955). North had a melody he had written in the 1930s and composed and recorded the score when he was asked to write a song based upon the movie's theme. North asked Hy Zaret to write the lyrics. After first refusing, Zaret and North together wrote "Unchained Melody. Zaret refused the producer's request to include the word "unchained" in his lyrics. The song eventually became known as the "Unchained Melody" even though the song does not actually include the word "unchained". Instead, Zaret chose to focus on someone who pines for a lover he has not seen in a "long, lonely time". "Unchained Melody" comes from the film centered on a man who contemplates either escaping from prison to live life on the run or completing his sentence and returning to his wife and family. So indeed this song fits along with Narges being in prison and her two children, and the rest of the people who embrace freedom, calling for her release.
"She takes your breath away!" Yes, that certainly occurred listening to Angelina singing her version of the classic 'Unchained Melody', didn't it? The Nobel Peace Prize Committee presented their Award to Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian woman currently serving time in an Iranian prison for the 'outrageous crime' (!) of speaking out about women's rights. It was a wonderful gesture by the Nobel Peace Prize Organization to recognize her efforts, always to be cherished and everyone will pray for the Iranian government to release her from prison after serving 'many years'. Previously, there was a moment when the Iranian officials considered releasing her, but, with one condition, that she stop talking about the rights of women. Narges met with her family, her husband and her two children (twins, a boy and a girl) and discussed the possibility of getting out of prison. Narges said it would be so wonderful to reunite the family once again but she reminded them how much she was committed to bringing attention to the strife of Iranian women and that she could never agree to such a condition. So, she remains in prison. And she also let it be known that, if released from prison, she has no intention of ever leaving Iran. Angelina, who is Norwegian, Swedish, Japanese and Iranian (was she born to sing for the people of the world!!!) considered it an honor to sing her tribute directly to Narges and her family (the two children were sitting right in front of Angelina during the performance) and Angelina was worried she would start to cry during the performance but she didn't and sang so beautifully, she literally "took our breath away".
The Norwegian singer, now living in LA, is already an artist for the big occasions with e.g. The new FIFA World Cup's official anthem, in addition to several major performances. Like few artists, she has performed for the Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 8 and 17. And 2 shows in Las Vegas ... She is 18 today. 250 songs both covers and original to listen to! She has had many live performances. She was signed to Republic Records at age 14!
Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking all angels and others to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina was recorded here in December 2023 at the Nobel Peace prize ceremony in Oslo Norway, performing this beautiful version of Unchained Melody. She paid tribute to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will set her free. Acts of kindness are inspirational, as Angelina always reminds us. We angels, and all others must honor Angelina, and those who represent our values, by doing all we can to help, and be kind to others. Even the smallest gestures can make a difference. Thank you for providing artist links to the official channel and video in your description, and encouraging your viewers to use those links as you do for your own channel. That will help ensure her success and her goal of spreading peace and love to the world.
It's great with her name Angelina she decided to live in Los Angeles. I am a Los Angeles resident and Angelina fan since I watched her first performances on AGT. ❤
Hello! I remember you were reacting a LOT to her a few years ago 🙂 What happened? Angelina is even more amazing today (she turned 18 on January 10th) than she was. Make sure to react to her 6 song EP, which released on July 21st last year. She was 16 at the time of recording the songs. The EP is called "Old Enough". Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
This is Angelina Jordan the most extraordinary storyteller in my lifetime. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize Dec. 2023 Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway) I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice. As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone. The audience held its breath as she sang. Her voice soared, reaching heights that touched the heavens. The pain and longing in her eyes mirrored the emotions in the song-the heartache, the yearning. It was more than a performance; it was a revelation. The chorus came, and Angelina's voice swelled, filling every corner of the room. " Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch," she sang, and suddenly, we all felt the real meaning of the words. The magic in her performance was like nothing we had ever experienced in our lives. The lyrics came alive and had meaning as they flowed through us. In that moment, Angelina Jordan became a vessel for something greater-an embodiment of love itself. Her voice carried us beyond our own pain and loneliness. We felt connected-to her, to each other, to something intangible yet profound. As she held that final note, time snapped back into place. The applause erupted-a thunderous acknowledgment of what we had just witnessed. But it wasn't just applause; it was gratitude-for allowing us to glimpse love and longing through Angelina's eyes. And so, we stood there, hearts full, tears in our eyes. Angelina Jordan had given us something rare-a reminder that love exists even in our brokenness. And for those few minutes, we believed it with every fiber of our being. (CopyRight)
This emotional performance full of longing was in front of the children of Nargis Mohammedis children. Nargis was imprison on hunger strike after being whipped. It is jnteredting to see subtle differences she made in different circumstances. In the short doccumentary ANGELINA JORDAN 10 YEARS IN THE MAKING. We can see her sing in Vegas. As well as the footage of her singing with a mike as an 18 month old baby.
