@ivanivan5377 my first question is when did you plant them specifically? I have a good feeling I know exactly what it is.

The rootstocks from RSI growers are very thirsty, they are designed to grow full size trees. What is your watering schedule like? How long, and how much water approximately? You said daily.

Thanks for the great info, I just got my first Florida prince tree. I live here in the Az valley. I was wondering what I should fertilize my tree with. I am new to Az and to this peach tree. Thanks

Glad you enjoyed the video! Florida Prince peach trees are very Hardy and a great choice here in the valley! If you think it needs fertilizer, this would be the weekend to give it blood and bone meal underneath the mulch layer on top of the soil. Use as directed and it should last throughout the summer. The tree itself will be slowing down in growth once we start getting into the triple digit territory until about September.

Hi! Just found your channel and also live in the Phoenix area. Budding orchardist and my peaches have been the best yet in the 3 years they have been in the ground. Interesting watering schedule. Is the thought process to allow the ground to absorb and prevent runoff as opposed to running your timer for the full 2 hours? I have 3 varieties: Sauzee Swirl, Desert Gold and Mid-Pride. The Desert Gold FINALLY produced a great crop. All 3 trees put on at least 6 feet of new growth from the winter pruning. I have typically been taking down the height after harvest, but may experiment with waiting until September to prune. Fun to try new techniques. Thanks for the info and videos!

That's great! Peaches do really well here surprisingly. We water slow and infrequent four times a night to prevent root rot and trunk rot, as well as runoff. We just want to pinpoint exactly where we want to water. It works for our soil type which is mostly sand and clay. It also helps with the soil to absorb the water, continuing to build the soil over the years, which also helps with oxygenation.

All of these techniques we have been doing for years, works for us. We don't want to waste our time, so we want to maximize every moment we can get with our trees. Micromanaging LOL

Those are all great varieties, you're going to love that desert gold! Ours puts on a lot of small fruit. Thinning is essential we have found. Welcome to the channel! Are there any topics you are mostly interested in?
