I love bts and I think they are one of the best kpop groups. But replay will be the most iconic song in the history of kpop. They also have the best debut song ever. This song is so genuinely good it's almost imposible to find someone who doesn't like it. The vocals are on point. The dance is complicated but laid back. Its beautiful.
Noel also to add, SHINee debuted with no promotions, no teasers, no announced dates. The members personally handed over lollipops with paper tags written with the word "SHINee" to people outside the music show studio they debuted in. Yes, SM was lousy with promotions back then too 😒
Just to correct a misunderstanding, Taemin was never Tone-deaf, that was a rumor started by antis to lash at him because usually Jonghyun was singing along him even when he had "solo" parts, but the truth is that he was just a baby with puberty problems and his voice was mutating and had harder time controlling his voice because he didn't have a solid vocal background back then. It's also why you don't have many lines from him in the first album. Since then Taemin has improved, saying a lot would be an understatement. He became the first member of his group going solo. And overall the group became icons of kpop for many of the actual groups and sometimes are even the reasons some idols started their career, they became so popular that they even got mentioned in an official speech of a foreign president, Obama.

Nunan neomu yeppeo is a Korean term that essentially means "Pretty older woman" Yeppeo is a term that means beautiful that is only used by guys to describe a beautiful woman that is older than them. There really isn't a literal translation of the term so that is why the song is called "Replay" in English. But in Korean it is called "Nuna neomu yeppeo." Each of their voices are that unique -- there is no one with a voice like any of their's. That is why they are the princes of Kpop. SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. You really should check out some of their live performances because their stages are like none other. Their concerts last 3 to 4 hours straight and they perform nonstop and never sound out of tune or out of breath. They are also one of the best dancers in Kpop and they have some of the best harmonies you will ever hear. If you know EXO then you know how good of vocalists they are, well the members of SHINee actually were mentors to a lot of the EXO members and they helped coach them in their singing. The EXO members and SHINee members are all around the same age and they were in the same trainee classes together and yet SHINee debuted almost 5 years before EXO, so that just goes to show you a little bit of what makes SHINee so amazing and why they are considered legends.

Yep!! THIS is the song that got me sucked into the kpop world haha Replay was the first SHINee song I heard/saw back in '09 and I've been hooked ever since! They branded themselves as a contemporary kpop group, so back then rnb and smoother pop music was more popular so that's what they started off doing. Their first album "SHINee World" is an rnb album and it's definitely one of my favorite albums ever. Then, as we entered a more digital age, they started relasing more pop/electro songs, so their music style is always changing. If you want to listen to more nostalgic rnb songs from them I'd check out their first album like I said, but DEFINITELY check out "Symptoms", it's a newer rnb feel song and dude you wont be dissapointed, the vocals are literal gold😭 Thanks for this video! Taemin is the one in "Wicked" tank top and bowl-cut. Jonghyun is doing most of the super-high adlibs and high runs. Onew is the one with the soothing, honey-like voice. Haha I feel you with it "if you knew them in 2011 you would stan". I'm an Army now but Shinee was a group which introduced me to kpop in 2011 and yeah I couldn't resist them 😄 They're definiately one of the most talented bands in kpop.
SHINee is such a great group. I recommend every performance they ever did, especially the ones at Tokyo Dome. I love the perfomances of 2014 at Tokyo Dome and I think it's there that they did a Replay performance and Jonghyun cried, it was so emotional. :( I still think Replay is one of the greatest song of k-pop.

Definitely the greatest debut song. 2008 lol. I wish I would’ve known about Kpop back then. I randomly hear this song all the time. No one does adlibs like Jonghyun. You’ll hear them in all of SHINee’s song. I still think about Jonghyun every day. It’s crazy to me that such a talent is gone. My aunt didn’t understand my obsession until one day after Jonghyun’s death she sat and listened to a bunch of SHINee songs.
This song really is the greatest kpop song ever. The late 90s and early 2000s were the best years in rnb for me because that's what I grew up listening to. I say that like I'm older than 19😂. This song makes me miss my childhood😢. Those were the good days. Thus is also the greatest debut of all time. Nothing will make me change my mind, and I don't even listen to shinee like that. First of all thank you for reacting to SHINee, my all time favorite group. Seeing new content about them, watching new people getting to know them is one of my greatest joys. Thank you! SHINee debuted as experimental group with r&b song in times when boy groups were appealing mostly by sexy and seductive vibes. They went with natural vibe of young boys falling for older girl (that’s basically what’s Replay is about) and they changed kpop industry that very moment. They never stopped being experimental, you won’t find two title songs with the same vibe. House in “View”, retro in “1 of 1”, you can always expect surprises when it comes to them. And trust me, their b-sides are definitely better than they title tracks, even if it’s hard to believe in. Please, listen to SHINee even when not reacting, they won’t disappoint you. So SHINee are part of the second generation of Kpop and yet they are younger then most everyone in their generation and are the same age or even younger than most other groups such as EXO and BTS, etc.which are part of Kpop's third generation. They debuted young and have the experience of seasoned veterans. It just goes to show you why they are legends in the industry.
SHINee debuted when Onew (the leader and lead vocalist) was 18, Jonghyun (the main vocalist and songwriter) had just turned 18, Minho (the main rapper and sub-vocalist) and Key (lead vocalist and sub-rapper) were 16 and Taemin (Main dancer and lead vocalist) was 14, so now after 11 years they are all in their late to mid-20s. SHINee are some of the most well respected artists in the industry.
Jonghyun is known as one of the best vocalist in Kpop who is one of the most prolific songwriters and composers of his generation. Jonghyun has wrote and composed over 40% of SHINee's songs, plus he wrote all of his own solo songs and numerous songs for other artists such as EXO's "Playboy" and songs for Taemin, IU and Lee HI, etc., as well as several movie and drama OSTs. He was one of the only SM artists to be given complete artistic control over his work , including SHINee's song selections. SM knew that if Jonghyun was involved in any way that the song would be a hit. He was extremely respected within the industry as a songwriter, composer and singer.
As the main vocalist Jonghyun is the one you hear with all the amazing high notes and R&B runs and ad libs most of the time.
Taemin is considered one of THE BEST dancers in the industry and that's not just by fans but by everyone in the industry, both young and old. Taemin's nickname is the Korean Micheal Jackson. As you can see by their "Replay" MV, even at 14, Taemin was one of the best dancers in the industry, and you will soon discover with the more that you watch from SHINee and Taemin's solo work that he has only gotten more magnificent over the years. Taemin truly is art when it comes to his performances.
SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. Once you get to know them better you will wonder how it was even possible that you couldn't tell them apart. As a Shawol (a SHINee fan) I tell people that once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. I can tell who is speaking or singing within 1 second even with my eyes closed with them standing in a crowd of people. Each of their voices are that unique -- there is no one with a voice like any of their's. That is why they are the princes of Kpop.
SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. They are known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. SHINee always sings live. The ONLY thing they are not good at is lip syncing so they avoid it at all costs, so when you hear SHINee singing 95% of the time it will be live. They have trained their entire career to be able to sing live and always sound flawless while performing extremely complex choreography. You really should check out some of their live performances because their stages are like none other. Their concerts last 3 to 4 hours straight and they perform nonstop and never sound out of tune or out of breath. They are also one of the best dancers in Kpop and they have some of the best harmonies you will ever hear. If you know EXO then you know how good of vocalists they are, well the members of SHINee actually were mentors to a lot of the EXO members and they helped coach them in their singing. The EXO members and SHINee members are all around the same age and they were in the same trainee classes together and yet SHINee debuted almost 5 years before EXO, so that just goes to show you a little bit of what makes SHINee so amazing and why they are considered legends.
shinee's entire discography never disappoints. Their r&b b-sides like "Electric Heart", "Excuse Me Miss", "Odd Eye", "Hit Me", "Close The Door" just to name a few are really great to listen to.

The one making most of the high notes and stuff was Jonghyun! Definitely my favorite vocalist in kpop. Once a legend, always a legend. And even though he isn't with us anymore, Shinee released the best album of 2018 in my opinion, so please CHECK OUT *GOOD EVENING* AND *OUR PAGE* !! They're from that album and the first one has a few hidden representations of Jonghyun, and the second one well... it's completely dedicated to him.

Yep!! THIS is the song that got me sucked into the kpop world haha Replay was the first SHINee song I heard/saw back in '09 and I've been hooked ever since! They branded themselves as a contemporary kpop group, so back then rnb and smoother pop music was more popular so that's what they started off doing. Their first album "SHINee World" is an rnb album and it's definitely one of my favorite albums ever. Then, as we entered a more digital age, they started relasing more pop/electro songs, so their music style is always changing. If you want to listen to more nostalgic rnb songs from them I'd check out their first album like I said, but DEFINITELY check out "Symptoms", it's a newer rnb feel song and dude you wont be dissapointed, the vocals are literal gold😭 Thanks for this video! Haha I feel you with it "if you knew them in 2011 you would stan". I'm an Army now but Shinee was a group which introduced me to kpop in 2011 and yeah I couldn't resist them 😄 They're definiately one of the most talented bands in kpop.

SHINee is such a great group. I recommend every performance they ever did, especially the ones at Tokyo Dome. I love the perfomances of 2014 at Tokyo Dome and I think it's there that they did a Replay performance and Jonghyun cried, it was so emotional. :( I still think Replay is one of the greatest song of k-pop.

fun fact : the lyrics of Replay are about a younger man (since shinee were really young then) trying to get an older girl , in 2015 they released a song called Love Sick in their Odd album and its supposed to be a sequel to Replay , the lyrics even say "How many years has it been ? you used to say i'm just a brother to you but you're my woman now"

This song really is the greatest kpop song ever. The late 90s and early 2000s were the best years in rnb for me because that's what I grew up listening to. I say that like I'm older than 19😂. This song makes me miss my childhood😢. Those were the good days. Thus is also the greatest debut of all time. Nothing will make me change my mind, and I don't even listen to shinee like that. Jonghyun can sing his ass off.

I've been a fan of SHINee since they debuted with this song in 2008 and let me tell you middle school me was shook. There is something about this song and them as a group in general that brings back this warm feeling of nostalgia and it makes me happy to see others enjoy it as well. SHINee debuted as experimental group with r&b song in times when boy groups were appealing mostly by sexy and seductive vibes. They went with natural vibe of young boys falling for older girl (that’s basically what’s Replay is about) and they changed kpop industry that very moment.
They never stopped being experimental, you won’t find two title songs with the same vibe. House in “View”, retro in “1 of 1”, you can always expect surprises when it comes to them. And trust me, their b-sides are definitely better than they title tracks, even if it’s hard to believe in.
Please, listen to SHINee even when not reacting, they won’t disappoint you. But of course I’m waiting eagerly for your next SHINee reaction:)
