I hope Ralph behaves and doesn't get too excited at the fabric shop. 😊 it's good you can take him along. You will be missed next week, but you deserve a little holiday. The buttons for your dress reminded me of hard candies. Yum. 😅. I didn't adhere to not buying fabric either. 😢I'll try to restrain myself next month along with you. Aberkhan is great - lots of fabric are weight only for the price but good value . Go for more purchases then July fabric ban maybe 😂😂😂😂. Can’t wait to make my Nell and Fleur xx Great vlog.xx

A good rule of thumb is 30cm is more or less the same as a 12" school ruler so that'll be the peplum.
The peplum piece is included & it then gets you to extend it for the skirt & they recommend 30cm for knee length & 52cm for midi. This is on top of the length of the peplum, if that makes sense ☺️
Ah! Now I understand, Claire! That does sound pretty short. Extending it by 30cm would be nowhere near knee length on me and I'm not particularly tall. No wonder you decided that 52cm must be the extra you needed! I hope you can find something to do with the piece you had to cut off!

Dress looks fab, I’m an inch shorter than you so know the trials of shortening everything 😂 never heard of Watson so will check them out!
I’ve not bought that much from them but they are a lovely shop. I think they are based in Surrey x

The orange seersucker would hold the puff ball sleeves of the Nell well. And the Fabric godmother would look well as a Fleur. Good luck with the July fabric ban, ha ha! Better get it all bought in June. Just about to cut out my Nell in gingham, thanks for the advice about sizing down!

@@jeanbaker-z3e oh no, sorry I don’t. That’s a Donny shirt by Friday pattern company. I made that in a fruity patterned viscose prior to starting my vlog ☺️
