It’s crazy that Microsoft PST import is this much of a pain in the ass... it’s time Microsoft fixed this... it’s time for the to rethink PST importing and tenant to tenant migrations
In this video in the map section, you specify IsArchive is if there is an archive included in mailbox to import.... The IsArchive parameter specifies that you're importing the .pst file into the user's archive. So this only applies if you are just importing a PST file. Not if you are importing a mailbox with PST.
Very Useful video. We tried all the steps. PST mails not reflecting into the web and outlook application. But in exchange admin the user mailbox usage having the data. Kindly suggest us how to get those mails.
sir how can we resume job Datalifecycle management job status failed and reason one mailbox is invalid id in csv file. how can we resume job ? its a multiple pst in a single file.
What is the maximum size of PSTs we can upload in single go for multiple users. I mean 15GB of file each for 10 users , we can upload in one single attempt. Total 150GB in one attempt. What is this size limit
I am curious to know. Once you upload a backup PST file for the user. What happens to all the new emails that was already in the mailbox? do those get over written or removed?
** Side Note ** If you're getting a permission denied error when you attempt to upload using either the command line or Explorer note that you MUST login to your Office 365 instance from the host you're trying to upload from.
Pstimportmappingfile.csv is showing an error and I have followed your way .. I can see the pst file already on storage ... however it shows pst could not be found
Last year, I used this method to import over 100 pst files and everything worked flawlessly (Thank you very much ;) ) Some time later I wanted to use this method again, but I ran into problems. I thought maybe it's temporary, but several months later it still doesn't work for me anymore. Maybe someone has an idea: Almost at the end after the analysis is completed, I don't get the option "Ready to Import to 365" anymore ( 13:46 in the video ) It only says "Import completed", but the import didn't complete, it didn't even start. Only the Analysis did complete (without any error). I just dont have a way to start the import anymore.
Microsoft has officially stated that uploading PST by Azure Storage Explorer is NOT supported. It will NOT work for upload and you can only use it to VIEW. docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/use-network-upload-to-import-pst-files?view=o365-worldwide#optional-step-3-view-a-list-of-the-pst-files-uploaded-to-office-365

no, pst import appends to existing mail already there.
