- The Eagles on Saturday traded up in the fifth round to draft Jeremiah Trotter Jr., the son of former Eagles Pro Bowl linebacker Jeremiah Trotter, with the 155th overall pick. The father and son spoke with NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark.

Trotter and BDawk were my favorite players in that era. I wore that reebok #54 Trotter jersey every week. What a hard working down to earth tough football player. He was bad ass on Sundays. I hope he's been able to instill some of that into Jr. I'm excited to see this thing play out. What a great story after a great offseason for the Birds.

So happy for the Trotter family. First met Jeremiah back in 1995 in college at Stephen F Austin while covering him and the (then) nationally-ranked Lumberjacks for the school newspaper. Needless to say, he stood out on the Division I-AA level, even as a true freshman, and I've been a huge fan and hype man ever since! Axe'Jacks!

Such a great story! If Trott Jr. can chop like his father he should do well & wish him the best! Can't say enough about the Eagles organization that seems to do (nearly..) all the right things to succeed. The owner & management of the Birds have amassed a superior collection of talent & paid vets with proven track records handsomely. Having vets like Fletcher & Jason play their entire, long, Pro-Bowl laced careers in the city speaks volumes. A lot of pressure now falls on the coaches, especially the new ones to realize the teams full potential.
