De-clawed? Poor thing. People are disgusting... it's not a case of 'some people think it's evil', it's that 'some people' value some scratches on their furniture more than the health of their animal. Mutilating an animal and causing lifelong issues shouldn't be an option. Thankfully it's illegal here in the UK. Also mats like that don't happen overnight - those owners should not have a Persian, and indeed should not have a cat if they can't cope with normal cat behaviour. Perhaps they adopted the cat in this condition and are getting a good start to her new life in which case, fantastic, and all the best to them. You are doing a wonderful job of sorting out her problems
Not all people are disgusting. I had a friend where she got her cat de-clawed because her claws just kept getting grown into her digital pads. The person that was de-clawing her said it wont have any effect on them and she would be fine and obviously she's going to believe the person with her cat because they did it multiple times. When I tell you, she was sobbing after having a trainer come over and tell her that her cat's aggressive behavior in biting is because she doesn't have claws to defend herself. Like I said, some people aren't disgusting, they just trust easily.
Speaking as a veterinary nurse who has worked in both the US and the UK for multiple years in both: there's more nuance here than you think. My baby was declawed (over a decade ago, now, before I adopted her) because she was so fear-aggressive that it was a choice between that and euthanasia. Do I endorse it? Only in extremely rare cases of medical necessity. But it is more than black and white.
Thank God the awful practice of de-clawing is banned in my country. I get our Vet nurse to clip my girl claws. She is a Maine Coon and elderly so we have to groom her everyday plus a relaxing session with the Zoom Groom brush. I could never let my cat get to this state. Must be painful for her. I enjoy the bonding with my girl as I groom her.
I love that you talk to them as you work. I always say “ would you like someone 6x your size grabbing you, doing things to you, and ignoring you?” No, of course not.
The poor girl must feel so relieved now and it's so kind how you feel it with her. And I think the owners will step-up their fur-care game. We always had short-hairs and they can take care of themselves (but sure appreciate help, like deshedding brushes). Longhairs must be another game.
Cats like to be knowsy too😂 When I had my Tabby I would take her to the groomers because I could not take care of her coat too well. I am glad she was able to get lion cuts too 🥰
What a sweet cat. I get she felt wonderful after her groom.just be like a tight, lumpy suit of armour with all those matts. So painful to move or even to try to rest.
Hi please can you tell me what brand & model number those clippers you use & where can I buy them? Thank you for posting this video I wish my cats were as calm and receptive to being clipped 😸
As an owner of a long haired cat I want to learn. I have asked the vet many tiimes to teach me but they are too busy. The cat vet has to put cat to sleep every time they groom. I don't believe that is healthy. I would like to learn brushing and how to hold cat. On a side note it cost almost $300 every time. The vet knows that they are the only all cat vet in town. I don't mind paying this but I feel it is unhealthy to do this every 3 months.
Also, I do brush every day because I love it. I just want to learn properly how to do it. Thank you for all your professionalism and respect towards the cat.❤
To me grooming my cat daily is not a chore it's a time for me and her to bond it's one of the reasons why I chose a long haired cat if you don't have the time then don't get a long haired cat
It makes me mad there are so many other alternatives to declawing plastic tips re-education owning a cat is a privilege if you can't get around the closet then maybe you shouldn't be a cat owner that's like having a goldfish and saying huh I don't want the fins there's also studies that say that declawing cats can make them frustrated and make them meaner just like a dog a cat can be trained but calling is natural to them they need to claw their nails shed so it's important for them to clone things that's why you should have claw towers and other things for them to claw on one good thing a lot of vets won't do declaw any vet that's in it for the animal and not the money
Yeah, I think it should be illegal in the U.S. to declaw an animal because of some scratches on furniture. Cats evolved to have claws. How is it our right to take them away?
I TOTLY AGRED WITH YOU DE-CLAWING YOUR CAT IS VERY WRONG IT HURTS YOUR CAT AS WELL CAN YOU GET ARESTED FOR DE-CLAWING YOUR CAT AND END UP IN JAIL OR WOULD YOU HAVE TO PAY FINE AND HOW MUTCH?❤😢
jz vous trouve brutale avec cet animal, quand je compare avec d'autres toiletteurs. je ne peux pas regarder jusqu'au bout. Prenez exemple sur les autres, arrêtez de parler et occupez vous des animaux que vous stressés. please

My cat isn't declawed and wow, he can scratch! It hurts! He doesn't like his feet touched so I can't trim his nails. He has to go in and have it done.

So, her owners ripped her claws off and then don't comb her fur? Sounds like real nice owners

Declawed? Criminal owners.
Just a quick note I am disabled and I have a lot of pain and I still manage even with my horrible pain and arthritis too to brush my cat everyday
"Dad wants a Lion Cut"
Dad wants a kick up the behind for letting this sweet girl suffer. Thank You for helping this baby to breathe❤
😅😅😅😅

@@PawzAll Thank you 👍🏻
Dwaaaaa cute floof ❤❤
Silly me... I thought declawing cats nowadays was illegal. 😮
I don't understand it how hard is it to brush your cat out once a day or once every other day even it's not hard I do it everyday
The owner didn't brush her at All that's what I see here 😢it's sad ,she must feel so much better after you're trim and shave...great job 😊
I live in the US and it should be illegal everywhere to declaw your babies just disgusting
Declawing is illegal in most western countries.

UNACCEPTABLE!! they completely remove the first joint of all toes. Over here in the Netherlands it’s illegal and no vet will do it for you!
You should paint there nails to match yours.. that would be cool 🤣
I don't know why people would buy such a beautiful expensive cat just to not take care of it sorry I'm done now I'm going to shut my mouth now
The current owner might not be the one responsible for declawing. Don’t be so judgey people.

O my God such a poor but pretty girl
DECLAWED!!!WRONG MOVE2DO2A CAT.BECAUSE IF KITTY RUNS OUTSIDE WITHOUT HIS/HER OWNER(S)NOT KNOWING KITTY CAN'T DEFEND THEM SELVES...
