Royal Caribbean Buffet Dinner Food on Liberty of the Seas (4K)

- Check out what food to expect on a Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship dinner buffet, in this case the at the Windjammer buffet restaurant of Liberty of the Seas. The variety of food was extremely impressive. Every night there is a rotating Asian flavor theme including Indian (some of the best Indian food we had eaten on cruises), Malaysian, Indonesian, Chinese, and Japanese. There were lots of local favorites as well- Texas chili, tacos, custom burgers, quesadillas, fries, baked potatoes, stews, Cajun food and more. Desserts were pretty good, and there were always two types of soup, various cheeses and a variety of sauces to go with Italian pastas. Nice to see Royal Caribbean had provided gluten-free bread & desserts as well, plus plenty of offerings for vegetarians. Various different salads were available nightly.
Our review is that the quality was very good overall. Some of our favorites included:
* Most of Indian dishes were delicious, especially the Chicken Curry, Vegetable Samosas, & Chicken Biryani
* Jerk Chicken (wow!)
* Oxtail Stew
* The Seafood Buffet which included Cocktail Shrimp, Rock Crab Legs, Mussels, Clams, and Crawfish
* Pork Adobo
Some of the things we wish Royal Caribbean had were a better hot water dispenser for tea (the available "portable" ones were not very good and often run out of hot water), plus it would be nice for the staff to take your drinks order.
This was from our February 2019 cruise on the Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas cruise ship sailing out of Galveston, Texas.
This is what a buffet video is supposed to be. Every dish clearly identified with enough time to see every dish. Really well done. Great editing and cool music appropriate for the video.

Thanks for your great videos. I was on the Liberty of the Seas this past week. I would say that the buffet was food was generally pretty decent but not particularly impressive. I dropped by the buffet every night just to see what was offered and to taste everything that looked interesting. I will say that the Indian food on this ship was some of the best that I have ever had in over 50 tries. I would say that some of the other ethnic dishes were also pretty good. I would say that anyone who plans to eat at the buffet should get there before 7:30 pm as the food is not replenished as well after 8 pm.
Yes! We really enjoyed the Indian food in the buffet too on the Liberty! 😋 Thanks for the updates & the tip on when to get to the dinner buffet. Too bad they didn't replenish until closing time, but I suppose cutbacks the norm nowadays.
The lady is so lovely, not only pretty, but informative with clear information about flavors and senses (sweet, crispy, spicy, soft, lamby, beefy) to help others make good choices, done with dignity and class. Super Helpful videos. The video of the foods is clear and well timed.

Was going to use celebrity so I could meet captain Kate McCue but food in Royal Caribbean’s main dining room and BUFFET are more to my taste. I can’t eat spicy or acid in foods, fancy stuff has ingredients I’m not allowed to have because of stomach issues
I've never sailed Royal Caribbean. How would you compare their food with Carnival? Which is better in your opinion?
Royal Caribbean has better food overall, especially at the buffet. We do think the casual eats like Guy’s Burgers, Blue Iguana cantina & Pizza Pirate on Carnival are better than Royal’s equivalent eateries.

Does any ships offer soulfood?
I have seen them- fried chicken, BBQ, collard greens- but sometimes only available during one or two days of the cruise.
they do not have pure vegan food section? not placed next to meat...
They did have a selection of vegetarian food daily- grilled, curries, stir-fries, wraps, casserole, pizza, moussaka, etc.

I do eat the leftovers but there usually is only a little left 😉 j/k. I am in a few clips here and there but for logistics (i.e. I’m the one holding the cameras) this seems to work the best and more convenient.
