This was the exploratory time of skating. Nollie kick/hill flips were just being created on street. 360 flips were the trick of the time in street skating. If you could do those that meant something. Landed my first one in 92 on those bulky decks. I’ll always remember that Tom Knox quote: once a skater always a skater. I quit in 94, wish I never did but it happens. Now I’m in my 40s and only weigh 150 I could have easily get back into it if not for having a major back surgery that screwed me up so badly. Just a simple fall could paralyze me. I sure do miss the sound of rolling down a sidewalk. I miss the pop sound of ollies. And I miss the feeling of working on a trick for weeks to finally landing it sketchy but still landing it. i was also there . if you check out the dome of this hall there are some balkonys made maybe for tv camers i dont know. but we climbed up there and watch the connest from the best view ever. we even baught some yellow plastick paper like stuff cutted wrisghtband from it an painted some black stripes on it and pretendet to be pro skater and got down to the im main area and even skate the ramps in the pratice time . ha ha crazy times . i have to watch it in slomo to checkt out if i can spot my friends and me ( im from germany sorry for that bad english )
