For those wondering; the arp trick at 9:37 was really close to working. All it needed was simply that elongated midinote stacked up as a chord for all of the "options" it was allowed to play. A Chord plugin could've done the trick too.
whatchu got against Andrew? I mean granted Mr. Bill is significantly better than the other people Andrew had on and it was kinda cringy, but like idk more content from him the better lol
I loved the way you took a modular approach for the percussions using randomized triggers ! Also I need a Mr. Bill x Andrew Huang thing happening at some point.
Very interesting. I really haven't listened to this type of music on my own. Not knowing the process used to produce a remix, I found this quite interesting. When each producer explains the elements they pulled up then worked into their version it enhanced my experience. I have expanded my appreciation of a genre and enjoyed listening to a style unfamiliar to me. You're all very talented.
Man I dont know if youre gonna read this but this song gave me such an emotional reaction I had no idea music like this existed!! The images you put into my head were straight up beautiful I really mean this youre awesome!
i love the way you tweak the rhythms, i think you called it fat acid bass... i guess i’m always looking for methods to do glitch live, to get away from the DAW. it would be amazing to be able to tweak the live input from drum machines and other instruments.
OMG, I've been trying to figure out how to aesthetic stuff to my tracks, and this tutorial seriously showed me some amazing techniques to put in cool details. I'm like so blown away right now XD
dude this is actually insane, how do you come up with such a cool chord progressions, its so like perfectly messy, can u do a video on something like that
I once did this same thing with the sound of my obnoxious roommate having sex with his disgusting slugwoman girlfriend (in the other room at 3am) It was a nightmare, but it wasn't worse than living with him.
Just wanna throw this out there to any producers coming from hip hop or other genres outside edm…mad ppl think Ableton is just for EDM type stuff but these techniques that u can learn from guys like Mr Bill n Ned Rush are totally useful in doing crazy shlt in any genre. It’s really an awesome tool for any kind of music, especially if ur into trying new things n experimenting w workflow. I do mainly hip hop n use tons of crazy stuff beyond basic sampling n hi hat trips n my work is so much more limitless because of it. N it’s still no doubt hip hop. U can use these ways of thinking to do all kinds of new stuff w sound. I feel like the EDM ONLY stigma is holding lots of ppl back from breaking new ground in other genres…so give it some thought before u outright reject it as a dj tool
are you using the noise to control which pads get triggered? could this be done with midi randomization… wondering why the noise + threshold thing 9:51
@@juanpablofrances620 email I suppose. I think you can find it via my TH-cam profile and clicking "business enquiries" then entering a captcha or something like that. Just don't wanna publicly spell it out, last time I did that I had about 4000 people trying to send me their fire 🔥 hip hop beats that I can buy to rap over if I like (and I'm still getting them tbh lol)
@@MrBillsTunes hahah that sucks, i can only imagine, okey i'll do it that way, and upload it to ig tagging you too :) love your music, thank you for that and your videos obviously, i watched em all ! Love from Argentina :)

The on-pointness and information density in any of your videos is breath-taking. Thanks, man, even if I'm commenting 4 yrs after the fact.
1) please do more videos with andrew huang and
2) please send this song to spotify
@Els Rulmyn it is how Spotify works now
Spotify added a feature so that artists can directly upload to Spotify instead of just record labels
