You mentioned centipedes (both normal and winged versions sense downpour) and slugpups, but there's also the spiders (small spiders are born when mother spiders die), noodle flies (AKA noots, as V. stated), and rot, meaning that we have 5 lifecycles of some sort fleshed out even a little. Still, it would be cool to see some other creature life stages, like baby lizards, they were supposed to lay eggs in the earlier versions of the game anyway. Egg bugs actually hatching their eggs would also be pretty neat.

The game implies that its sort of just an outcome of various iterator shenanigans, like the hunter's condition if he's dead during a gourmand run, or 5 pebble's whole deal. Iterators make it unintentionally as a result of not thinking or caring about the consequences of their actions, and it just creeps around wreaking havoc until it shrivels up into insignificance over long periods of time, without really reproducing in any significant way. As for the spider thing, it's possible that they have a hierarchy based on age, and the oldest, biggest one is the leader/head. When it dies, or grows up into a mother spider, it is replaced by the next oldest one.

I think it would make sense if the lizor was the babies of the lizards. Might no be a good example for people who don't play Minecraft but The baby Piglin's and it parents. The babys dont hurt you but the parents do. May or may not be the best of examples but its the closest thing I could think of.
