Nicely done.. I'm new too the sport, was shown the basics 25 year's ago. Didn't get much done. Flashforward 20 years, the few months I've seen jackcrafty and now your's videos, and I'm hooked. It's now in my blood, literally. Thanks man!

Nice work! I have to believe that some Clovis person might also have developed and employed a similar jig. Thanks for a great video!

I'm going to give this a go. Maybe make a video about it. Always wanted to make some clovis style points but the difficult jig builds That act like an entire engineering project put me off to them because I do not have the skill to do percussion flutes. This really peaks my curiosity and I will give you a shout when I do!

You might try the way Ryan Gill flutes for Clovis. It is pretty simple

Hey it works! I’m finding it works with out much pressure just a bit more angle on the antler, keep the point level still. Thanks T

I can see the old boys using something like that. Simple, yet very effective.

Interesting jig. A slotted stick could double as an atlatl, no?

One-handed and unrehearsed videos are a torment.

Just wondering......if you wrapped the leather strip starting from the far end you wouldn't have to unwrap the entire thing.

Was this known to be used by the ancient Native Americans for fluting points? Very cool setup!

@@lulabell79_31 there has only been one possible jig found and Mike Dothanger demos it on his video. . It is made from limestone and works with the rocker punch technique
