  • Designed by a consortium of transit executives from across the United States, the PCC Streetcar (or Presidents Conference Committee car) was developed with the goal of improving reliability and cutting operating costs as competition from rubber-tired vehicles challenged the dominance of rail transit in the early-to-mid 20th century. The car was a technical success, delivering impeccable performance and reliability, and many remained in service for 50 years or more. Even today, PCC Streetcars continue to operate in daily service in cities such as San Francisco, San Diego, El Paso, Boston, and Philadelphia. Bachmann's HO scale PCC Streetcar is now updated for the digital era! Adjusted to sit at a lower, more prototypical height, our latest model features completely redesigned trucks, a range of user-controllable sound effects, and LED lighting, along with our revolutionary sparking trolley pole.

The sound of that bell takes me back to when my family lived on the 13 Route in Philly and someone was double-parked! Looks like I need to add another PTC car to my collection!

You need to make a varient that runs on overhead wire, for traction models.

They ran in Toronto until just a few years ago too and one is preserved and operated at the trolley museum in Rockwood, Ontario. So how about one in TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) livery as well? Looks like a gret new model.
