King Kong Gun and Kong Gun are very different punches.
Chapter 871 (Page 8): Luffy uses the "Kong Gun" punch against Big Mom. Luffy doesn't say the name of the punch, but in Chapter 784 (pgs. 10-11), Luffy uses the same attack against Doflamingo.
Chapter 790 (pgs. 16-18): Luffy uses the "King Kong Gun" against Doflamingo. Not only does Luffy break through Doffy's Haki-infused Devil Fruit awakening, but he also breaks the entire city under their clash.
Point being. These are 2 different attacks that greatly differ in power and are not the same attack.
Luffy gum gum pistol from the start of the series and current is vastly different the longer things on on the stronger luffy and the rest of his attacks get
But your comparing a Dressrossa G4 Luffy to a post whole cake Luffy. A Luffy that's dozens of times stronger than what he was before.

Just going off the head here, Kidd took:
A fulgora lightning attack head on
A Mama raid attack (that lightning sword technique)
A Elbaf Spear attack
And a 3000 leagues of misery attack from Big Mom

Here's a thought during dressrosa which is 4 arcs ago Law got washed by Doffy, during Zou Law did not have any battles and during Wano he was hiding out maybe training his DF to unlock awakening cause he did not use it on Doffy. I'm gonna say at this point they could fight Doffy to a draw. But overcoming him I find that hard to believe.

Doffy was a Warlord and they are relatively comparable to commanders… Plus his Haki, DF are way more versatile than kid’s whole skill set

@@BrainDamage4436 There's some missing Training arc/context for law but you gotta assume just how we saw Luffy & strawhats fight and grew stronger, the same happened to law.
G4 Luffy in Dressrosa is not the same lvl as G4 Wano. You saw how Luffy struggled against Cracker in early WCI then was able to match Katakuri who's a 1st commander. Rayleigh mentioned similar specific on Haki blooming and the stronger opponents you fight the better you become. So you can assume if Doffy comes back into the story he'll be a lot stronger too.
Also back to Law, he does fight with Hawkins in the early parts of Wano so you can assume he grew after that fight and after roofpiece against 2 Yonko. So it isn't far fetched to say Doffy is no match for law/kid at this time due to their growth over last few arc....

Luffy in WCI gear 4 literally got one shot by big mom at the wedding when she was in hunger mode. Doffy got wiped by a weaker gear 4, he’s a non factor if he fights her

And his showing against shanks doesn't make him trash. We still have other feats for him that are actually impressive. People just ignore that for the shanks hype and to have a reason to clown on kidd.
We also forget that we don't really have a full scope of where shanks stands compared to a lot of the characters. Kidd was one shot but we don't know how many characters that could've also happened to, especially since something important is that kidd is very durable

Hey guys . Doffy CANNOT generate the amount of power to bring down BIG MOM at all. Yeah Doffy got all 3 types of Haki but he ain’t durable as Kid. In a fact I kind blame ODA for not portraying Kid much more in the story and not showing us his Conqueror Haki or his Advanced form . Kid is luffy if he had no mentor during his pirate career. He has all 3 forms of haki but he barely uses it, let alone trains it. But he still managed to be one of the strongest characters in the verse. Only commanders I see he can't beat is ben beckman, and katakuri.

We gotta stop the Doffy bias wank. Beginning of Wano Luffy hit Base Kaido in the chest with King Kong Gun and he didn’t move. That’s 2 island amps after Dressrosa and Kaido and Big Mom are comparable in dura base to base. This is an AMPED Big Mom fighting Law and Kid and he could push her back with his awakening. If Base Kaido didn’t budge from a stronger King Kong Gun than the one Doffy lost to, she’s not even gonna feel the force of Doffy’s Heavenly Strings
Its literally that simple.
Seb brought out the amazing points about Kidd's feats compared to Doffy. Doffy has a tactical kind of devil fruit, he wouldn't last a minute against Big Mom or Kaido. Yes he has more Haki feats, but Haki isn't perfect. We've seen that raw power can STILL overpower Haki (Luffy VS Door Door Fruit dude and Big Mom's raw strength against Gear 4). Kidd has that strength and durability, but he does lack in the Haki department, and that will keep him from being top 15 in my book. Giving Kidd props doesn't take away from anyone, people be crazy to keep him down because he was unlucky enough to run into Shanks.
EDIT: It would be crime to forget that WITHOUT HAKI, Kidd was able to physically hurt Big Mom with attacks before using the rail gun. He was about to push out enough physical force, that it hurt BIG MOM, the woman who's durability is more legendary than Kaido's.
Going off feats Kid beats Doffy as easily as he was beaten by Shanks.
Short summary of main argument:
Kid's feats have him relative in speed to amped Big Mum so he easily blitzes Doffy. He also has higher AP on basic attacks than the gear 4 attacks Luffy was overwhelming Doffy with. Finally, Kaido includes Kid among people he views as "monsters in their own right" but sees Doffy as a weakling.
Main argument, with feats to prove:
Doffy got overwhelmed by Dressrosa Gear 4 until his awakening and even after that gear 4 was still stronger.
That sets our base line. If Kid beats Dressrosa Gear 4 - a form that is literally just speed and power, then he beats Doffy.
A stronger gear 4 in whole cake would later use a kong bazooka on Big Mum but would not even budge her and couldn't leave any damage. A stronger gear 4 than that form then gets blitzed by base Kaido.
This establishes 3 things:
1. A stronger Luffy than the one who beat Doffy couldn't do any damage to base Big Mum.
2. A much stronger Luffy than the one who beat Doffy was still a blitz level below base Kaido.
3. A base Kaido has the AP to one shot start of Wano Luffy.
base Big Mum and base Kaido would then fight evenly for 3 days. SO:
1. Base Big Mum has speed to keep up with Kaido. By default this means she could also blitz start of wano Luffy.
2. Base Big Mum has AP capable of matching base Kaido. So she can also one shot start of Wano Luffy. - not inconsistent since she caught Marco easily and he's a character that has hit Kizaru and could hold King and Queen off in a 2v1.
3. All amped forms fo Big Mum scale above her base so anyone who can keep up with her amped forms in speed and doesn't get one shot also has higher endurance than start of Wano Luffy as well as blitz level speed above him.
Now moving to Kid's feats, he tanked the majority of Big Mum's attacks which puts his endurance at a level far higher than start of Wano Luffy and by default Doffy. He also hurt amped Big Mum on multiple occasions - even with basic strikes. So his AP on basic strikes is higher whole Cake Luffy's gear 4 attack he did against Big Mum. Even if you try to say Law broke Big Mum's bones and not Kid, Big Mum actively dodges Kid's attack the next time he uses the same move - she is so afraid of the attack that she screams and lifts a building to dodge it.
Best comment on the video. Also need to highlight that damned punk is no joke, it's an absurd attack power that sinked big mom. Maybe after the anime we'll see clearer what shanks saw and understand the level of destruction it can do
Nah I gotta be honest the kid slander just comes off so disingenuous and just seems like hating on a character you don’t like. Kidd completely switched Shanks’ attitude about him because of one future vision, shanks went from joking with his crew and giving fake threats to getting shook and having to deal with Kidd personally.
On Paper Doffy is a better, more skilled and versatile fighter than kid… But kid only wins cause he got stronger while Doffy is locked up and chained down in impel down

Kidd stopped Hera from helping Big Mom, I'm pretty sure he trapped her in that metal box didn't he? I really don't think Law and Doffy could have beat Big Mom, there's a good chance Hera would have flew down and saved her because she wouldn't have been trapped by Kidd if they did knock her off anyways

Crazy 5v1 and the 1 is correct. Big mom couldn’t counter because of laws silence, she needs to speak to use it effectively, plus she was still internally damaged from law. Doffy is not stronger than current Law, you are tripping. Doffy is barely second commander lvl, while the only FIRST commander I can think of that can defeat current Law is probably Beckmen, and also Kuzan and Mihawk if we are counting them as commanders. Point. None other, not Marko, not Katakuri, not King and not even Zoro. Strawhats are not the only one who got stronger, Law did too.

See the issue there is Doffy has been actively in jail since his defeat. There really isn’t much room for strength growth in that situation. Crocdile was free and moving around after he lost to Luffy and got outta jail. Time to grow and expand his strength.

Kidd cannot beat doffy I think a lot of people underestimate doffy and his power as doffy has the better haki over kidd. Haki trumps everything else and I don’t think Kidd could even break out of dofflamingos puppet strings as even luffy couldn’t break out of it until he went gear 4 and Kidd doesn’t have any sort of haki feats even close too or comparable to gear 4 bounce man and luffy even in gear 4 couldn’t finish off doffy in their first fight it’s only until after luffy ran was he able to finish him off
He has feats over g4 bounce man Luffy at the time of Dressrosa and WCI, like for example... not getting one shoted by Big Mum as Luffy was in WCI and being able to hurt her, unlike Gear 4 bounce man Luffy in WCI.

The hold that visible Haki has over the community is crazy. We really assume Big Mom, Kidd and Law didn't use basic armament Haki ONCE in their entire battle? Just because Luffy and a few gets visible hardening in G4 does not mean they aren't using it.
The primary use of Hardening is offense and DF and so many characters don't get both versions explicitly animated or drawn.

Kid has enough attack power to worry shanks. Now he has to charge his laser, its a very straight forward attack with a lot of downsides, but shanks looked into the future and was like "Welp gotta end this before i let him fire that" Doffy can't hit that hard. Very few people can hit that hard. There is a lot of stuff about Kidd that stop him from hanging with the really, really tough people. But the thing that gets him into the conversation is raw damage when he hits.
Kidd beats, King, Katakuri, Marco, and shiryu has no good feats and his statements aren’t even that good he can even beat Zoro and Ben Beckman, he slams Jinbei and Sanji and he can probably beat them both at the same time, he slams Doflamingo, Kidd’s attack power is crazy, Kidd stomps most of these guys, Larry does not even use feats he uses narratives

Doflamingo in the manga was seen contending with Gear 4th Luffy sure he was on the back foot, and was not going to win, but it was still a fight. It wasnt a wash. Doflamingo is actually a high tier threat, I realistically put Doflamingo at 2nd commander level. I see Doffy beating the scabbards, topi roppo, and even third commanders.

Bearing in mind one of the criteria for a Yonko is their crew and crew strength. Big mom basically had Perospero… who isn’t a commander. Number 1: doflamingo doesnt even need to output the same level of power as kidd since if law and doffy were fighting big mom, law could make that same hole and doffy could turn the ground to string to make her lose her grip, making it guaranteed that she would fall to her death. Number 2: Doffy can very clearly output that same amount of power but even if u say he cant then bro could use his strings in tandem with his 16 holy bullets to drag her down too, so regardless she is falling down that hole.
