I don’t own one but I enjoy watching the evolve videos. I still ride a traditional skateboard at the age of 58. One day I’ll get an evolve board. Keep up the good work.
speed and performance looks great 🤩 and the idea that I don't have to slow down the soles of my shoes or slide, so it's also great, it really varies me to try this skateboard 😊
On the Hadean, I wish there was a way of having max acceleration on tap but not a walking pace. I wish the acceleration ramped up from say 60% initially then 70,80,90,100 in the first 1/4 pull of the trigger. That would make it much easier to get moving and would result in a quicker get go because I wouldn’t be so gingerly with the trigger fearing a sudden surge of power.
@@evolveSkateboards What is available on the explore app gives no indication whatsoever that it will do what I want. I will reword what I’m looking for. In order to go from 0-40km/hr requires acceleration, and given that there is only ONE acceleration curve on the app, it will affect the acceleration all the way from 0-40km/hr. But that isn’t what I want, I only want to affect the acceleration from 0-10km/hr and then from 10-40km/hr I want to have full acceleration. I like the aggressive acceleration once I’m up and moving and leaning into the power, but for a take off from nothing or from a walking pace it is too aggressive and requires such careful slow finger movement to get it moving safely that it ends up being a slower start up than when I’m on my GTR.
I just bought 7”AT conversion kit. I’ll share my specs. I do a 3.4 mile commute to work which is relatively flat. I ride straight, no carving. I weigh 150lbs. My preferred speed is about 20mph. With 97mm ,32T it takes 12% battery. 27mph top speed is possible. With 7”AT, the same commute takes 18% battery. 21mph is possible with full charge. Once battery goes to 90% , top speed becomes 19mph. While smoother over bumps and carving gets better traction with AT, the board is noticeably slower. I prefer the 97mm with 32t. I just can’t bear to give up speed and range! You just have to watch the bumps in the road more carefully. If I could design a wheel, I’d do a 6 or 7” tire in the shape of the AT, but using the material of the small wheels. Hard rubber compound , not inflatable. That would get more speed , better for bumps and better range. It wouldn’t be so good off road but beast in the street. Great fun. Cheers! 👍🏾
If anyone is thinking of doing this on a GTR, Don't. I talked with customer support about the 32t gear with the 7in all terrain tires and they told me I would have no problems. $90 later when my parts arrived and the board was put together I found out it made the board overheat even more than usual. I'm a 130lb rider and with the 32t gear it took less than a mile for the board to overheat. I've been riding boards for years, my belts were not too tight, and I had the correct psi in my tires (Which evolve thought could make the board overheat in a mile lmao). Such a shame I got scammed by overheating issues on the GTR or I'd consider buying a Hadean mostly due to the aesthetic.
I smell a Evovle customer service reply, your belts are too tight, or your tires are too flat, whatever the problem its not us its you... sigh ahhh memories
@@paulmcconachy3340 We're unsure what Levi has experienced as 32T gears are for street boards and cannot attach to 7" all-terrain wheels, can you clarify which set up you were using Levi? In testing, we find aluminium gears don't offer great benefits over our nylon gears with correct belt tensions. They cause faster wear on the belts, cost more, don't work with the hubs as well, and we haven't had longevity issues with the current hubs.

GREAT. Would it not be more safe to be doing these tests with a heads up display like the old Google Glasses? Could such a display integrate with the Evolve controller? How about braking tests? BTW - How is braking accomplished with Evolve board?
