Incredible song for sure and the video is a banger. Michael made MTV huge, which is ironic since MTV was not promoting black artists at the time and even he had to fight to get his videos played. The videos did help Michael become a huge artist as well but his vision for his videos are what made the impact. At the time the videos were just thrown together and money was not something record companies were giving to make good ones. Michael had the vision to see that video were going to be the way to promote music and wanted them to be mini-movies. Michael was incredibly talented. There is no denying that he took the pop icon to a new level.

@@yournamehere6002 you do realize that the charges brought onto him in the 90s he was acquitted of, the FBI searched his Neverland Ranch and found nothing, then later on when two men made a whole documentary accusing him again & even they later admitted they lied, so literally there's nothing to support the claim he's a child abuser, so I ask, do you choose to ignore the facts? or do you not care about the truth and rather choose to believe claims with no base that have been proven wrong to support your narrative?

Finally I can agree with you on something. :) Yes, MJ is still the GOAT, his music the pinnacle! And while I love the Off the Wall, BAD and Thriller era too, please listen to his other albums. Stranger in Moscow is a gem. They don't really care about Us is another one! Black or White! Scream! And on his last album songs like Unbreakable and Whatever Happens are master pieces...
MJ evolved after BAD. he never made the same music twice and was always looking for new sounds.
Btw Billie Jean stands for the groupies who were after his brothers when he was still very young. Lots of girls claiming to have a baby with one of his brothers... He describes it in his biography Moonwalk. LJ

Go further back to ***GOT ME WORKING DAY AND NIGHT*** from his Off The Wall Album late 70s/1980ish. First time I ever heard him as a kid other than ABC's and 123 from Jackson 5

🌸 okay I'm old LOL but my opinion is that musicians should earn respect and followers... skill and talent are everything.

The first paternity test song was "Hound Dog" by Elvis Presley:
"You ain't never killed a rabbit and you ain't no friend of mine!"
"Killed a rabbit" = got a girl pregnant. (Google "rabbit test for pregnancy")
    Also "Sweet Emotion" by Aerosmith:
"You can't catch me 'cuz the rabbit done died! Yes it did!"

My very first 45 (record) that I played on my "portable record player" was Thriller. I was obsessed with him when I was a little kid, my first music I listened to without my parents (probably around 6 or 7 years old.)

I was born in the 70”s by the time 80”s came around MJ blew us all away….. as all the music in those times best ever as kids we would all dance our moves like MJ.
Bro have you heard Angelina Jordon’s version so Jazzy & stripped down it’s amazing for a young kid to take on MJ. Quincy Jones had said of Angelina she is the best young one he has heard since Micheal , to get that compliment from Quincy is validation enough +Angelina got invited to perform for Quincy’s 80th birthday

Living in the 80’s as a teenager with MTV being strictly just videos was the best ever !!!! Even before cable tv , you had late night shows like Elvira that would show the top 10 videos of the week!!!
