I've been watching since you've had a few subs and then watched you surpass 100k. Thank you so much for feeding my brain. I have watched your channel since its infancy and hope the best for for you and your team. I can't thank you enough to keep my brain challenged so thanks again for all you do. I only live to keep my brain challenged but also to keep my dogs happy and I appreciate the lesson in refrigeration and HVAC world. I wish I was part of the team but understand the errors i've made in life and will better myself for the future. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to learn a trade I am not familiar with but have a fascination in. Thanks again.
I love it when your videos get released just as I finish up work. I get to listen to your day's adventures as I drive home 🤙 ...even if this one is a couple days old lol.
Good thing our heads are attached Mikey pipes. I lose track of what I’m doing all the time now. Just remember it gets a lot worse in your fifties. Larry the cable guy says when you get old you shit your pants all the time. I wonder how he knows that? Hanging them condenser’s sure can get tedious. You gotta really like what ya do and have good techs. working with ya. Another fun one.
why Fujitsu? My installer switched to Daikin which surprised me. Said there were too many call backs. unit has been flawless. Heats when it’s below zero.
31:12 you should have still recommended a surge protector on that unit. That’s like saying “you don’t need a surge protector on your $3000 computer because you have a whole home surge protector.” The whole house surge protector is the 1st line of protection. They can only absorb so much. Adding a second surge protector at the unit protects the unit from even more. The effect of adding more surge protection is cumulative.
Isn't the inside unit installed too close to the ceiling ? Installation manual clearly states that inside unit must be installed at no less than 15 cm away from celling.
Each zone shares the same outdoor unit. And both can be independently controlled with the exception of different modes. So for example, both can be on cooling or heating, but one can’t be on heat and the other on cool.
I want to get a gold bracelet to match yours. Could you weigh that on a scale so I know how many ounces to get what carrot is that gold. When I get mine, I will send you pictures.
I know they had hacks do the original install, but I am so good on mini splits in general. They appear not to last very long like most new stuff today. Give me my old cast iron gas boiler and window acs (some of which are over 40 years old and work perfectly fine). The energy savings get immediately wiped out if you have to replace new stuff only after a few years. 🥴 Hacks bring Mikey stacks!
I wish people would just use a regular HVAC unit instead of those mini splits where all those line hides are all over the side of house going in all different directions looking like pipes everywhere. Installation is fine but just looks very tacky IMO.
I agree and I do everything I can to talk my clients out of using such systems. A garage or a shop fine, but not a house that has ducting for a Split system. Makes no sense and they are awful looking. I wish I knew what was wrong with two Carrier systems, which would have been most likely made by Midea. Those are pretty nice systems when new. But a Bosch or a Daikin/Amana side exhaust split system would have been much better.
You have to understand that the efficiency levels of these mini split systems make this type of installation a very attractive solution to provide heating and cooling for conditioned space. This technology has been used in Europe for decades.
@@Balticblue93 I agree. A regular Bosch HVAC diverter system would have been so much better overall and way nicer looking on sides of house. Plus, with those mini splits you would have to leave all other doors in the house open like utility rooms, bathrooms and walk-in closets to get heating and cooling in those rooms. Much better comfort in all rooms with a ducted regular split HVAC.
@Balticblue93 the world uses mini splits the u.s. is way behind the times. Ducted uninsulated pipes in a hot and cold wall is as dumb as it gets. Minisplits are the way to go. For heatingcand cooling and they are silent, and can have much more control over Temps in different areas of a house.

Made it look easy Have a good trip
Thank you 🙏
Install well done as always.
Glad you like it
Beautiful install as usual ... How often do you calibrate your torque wrench Thx
At least once a day;)

Mike when you forget like that it’s called threshold syndrome
F me
Yeah but I thought that when you uh .... Nevermind forgot what I was gonna say 🤪
"I'm sorry to hear that" Gotta love Daniel
Love you too, no homo
Nice job ! The raised dome stickers are nice. Maybe they’re better off on the inside equipment like the boilers & tankless water heaters.
Should use the adjustable feed through that you can get with line hide. Makes it much nicer and sealed

What’s the installation guide say about distance from the ceiling the top is the return. Looks a little close.
If you read the manual, you know that I’m well within specifications
Is that the standard drop from ceiling for the Fujitsu? the ones i do ask for 6" from ceiling
Yeah. That’s not your typical 6 inches. I’m sure it’s not moving air like it needs to
Make reference to a page number instead, instead of just guessing in your comments.
Fujitsu states a minimum of 55mm. Do the math for your geographic.
@martin - read before commenting. 50mm minimum
Nice work by the team! 🏆🏆🏆
Thank you 🙌

I didn’t have any problems with Diack a problem with the local Johnstone distributor, providing the service that we are accustomed
What was the problem with the customer's Carrier units? Did all of them fail?

great job
Thank you very much

Installed to specifications.
How can you complain about zoom lock when you use pro press and mega press regularly
I didn't complain about Zoomlock
Question Mike. Does each zone have its own gas. Or do they share from a certain spot.
Each zone shares the same outdoor unit. And both can be independently controlled with the exception of different modes. So for example, both can be on cooling or heating, but one can’t be on heat and the other on cool.
Using the homeless for advertising is actually pretty genius lol. Keep up the good work Mike!
I highly doubt he’s homeless
Hi So this unit will provide Cooling and Heating?? no need for a boiler anymore? I was looking into going from oil to gas...
The system provides heating and cooling
Where can we buy that hat?
I want to get a gold bracelet to match yours. Could you weigh that on a scale so I know how many ounces to get what carrot is that gold. When I get mine, I will send you pictures.
It’s ‘karat.’ Unless you intend to wear a gold 🥕 on your wrist.
Unless you’re farting carrots
What only Mr pipes can wear fake gold.
18 or 24 karat gold is the best.
Why,Are you a woman?
Nice job!!
Thanks!
I missed the yelled out version of your greeting, I prefer violent greetings.
I think I got edited out on the unedited version

Hey, thanks for watching and commenting
What was wrong with the units
Issues from day one
I’m sorry but..I would of went around the chimney, then in and out of the attic 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ but nice job😊
I just copied the existing to avoid make a new holes
that's a Knipex Cobra, not Chanellock, Knipex for the win
you kinked that bend on the liquid line, not good
Schelmelting and schvitizing
Those two go hand-in-hand
you didn't pressure test the fittings, and you locked it up already, not prudent
Vacuum test would have shown any lesks
@@daddygc5814 There is a reason Nitrogen pressure tests are done, and not just vacuum.
You didn't finish the line hide joints etc. just dead ended, not good
Ain't you supposed to put the locking valve covers over the shraders, rouge for 410a..that is so kids can't sniff, what a goofy rule indeed
👍🏻
Thanks, Rambo for your comment and support
Mike get used to forgetting what you went for, It only gets worse.
Let’s not accelerate the process by reminding me
6-hour Install is Unbelievable especially if you had to Work through Lunch. 🤔👎
It is what it is, but I got it done
