    Lifan states that the compression ratio is 11:1 this means that you should be running 91 or 93 octane to prevent the ECU from pulling timing.

    • @SmallEngineVelocity
      @SmallEngineVelocity  4 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      2000 dollars would get you a high mileage , kinda broken or sketchy title (no title) bike. To get something for a new rider that has less issues would be around 3k. If you are new you don’t want to buy a older high mileage used bike or your gonna hate it if you have to fix and replace parts every month. For me a 2000 dollar bike would be awesome

    The KPR/KP200 bikes (more specifically the KPR200) were designed to run the domestic Chinese race circuit. In fact, in 18 races, the KPR200 won 17 races in its class. While not as dramatic or as fast as the big brands bikes that are derived from their racing bikes (i.e GSXR1000), the KPR200 does have actual racing pedigree. They are not cobbled together with flashy plastics thrown on, but are based on racing bikes. The KPMini 150 is also raced in China in the 150cc class, but I am not sure how serious Lifan races that bike as I have not heard of victories, but an old press release on their Chinese site mentioned a lap record at one of the Chinese race tracks.

      z400 will do well over this and you can re-gear to be way more comfortable at highway speeds. I had a 09 ninja 250 and it would run 70-75 at 7000rpm at 7500 ft elevation. If you really rode it hard up to redline of almost 14,000rpm it would top 105+ and get 60mpg pretty consistently. I can only imagine how much better the 400 would be and you get alot for the pricetag. Better tires, Brakes, motor, really everything.

      Z400 is 5000 after tt&l and well refined. KPR200 is a refined bike also for China. It’s like a 2k+ difference and I guess it depoends on how you are gonna use it.

    • @wreckful
      @wreckful 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You don't need backpressure. Backpressure is a common myth perpetuated by people who don't know engines. You want ZERO backpressure. What you do want is exhaust VELOCITY to help create a vacuum in the exhaust header to help scavenge the exhaust gasses from the cylinder. This promotes proper cylinder fill on the intake cycle which is where you make your power through efficient combustion. When people put huge exhaust systems on a car or bike, what kills your power is not the lack of backpressure, it's the loss of velocity which in turn yields reduced vacuum and scavenging, which in turn causes your cylinder to not fully empty all the exhaust on the exhaust stroke, so next intake stroke your cylinder is already half full of nasty hot exhaust which kills your combustion, killing your power. Need for backpressure is a myth spread by people who don't know how engines function.

    • @isaiahspinney6113

      @Colten Cummings I found the same issues when I was looking to order my KPR200. I finally called several stores that sold them online and I went with Powersportsmax. I spoke with them a couple of times on the phone and they always answered my questions. Ordered it on a Wednesday and got it the following Tuesday. I recorded a few videos on my channel when it came in and I'm going to have a few more vids picking over the bike and installing accessories. I was nervous ordering online too, so do your research.

  • @tylerbray8233

    The right sprocket setup is what makes or breaks the top speed. Get larger sprockets - The bike can easily clear 110-110mph if swapped out......
    Butt also, you're killing your speed by having your baffles removed. It's also the cause for the backfiring.
    God speed.
