Hi, your solution is pure genius…..I’ve been looking at the abba sky lift, but in ALL the vids I’ve seen, they all had the same concerns you raised, with peeps having to hold the bike, or have an assistant, etc, looked slightly dodgy for those of us that don’t man handle bikes all the time…..I have a R1250 GSA, and I know the sky lift can handle the weight, but like you, was nervous of trying to get it secured to the sky lift….Not now! I’ll be buying the Same chock as you did……thanks for taking the time to do the vid….it’s helped me a lot….Cheers mate, Andy..

No it doesn’t. The centre stand gets in the way and also inhibits the operation on the lift.

Hi thanks for your TH-cam comments.i ask you a question re the Royal Enfield 350 stage 2 cam, I have another question regarding the same as I am still waiting for mine to come , I'm on the list. My question is did you actually get more top speed from fitting the new cam. What I'm hoping for is that my bike will be able to cruise at 70 when on motorways when we have to use them and so that I'm not running flat out at 70 and hammering the engine. By the I've been down to Eviet from Glencoe great run did it by car hoping to do it with the bike. Forget the spelling.

Both the Classic 350 Reborn and the Meteor 350 have a top speed limiter. I can easily get to 75mph on the speedometer but it will not go any faster. The Hunter 350 on the other hand I’ve head can reach 87mph as it has no top speed limiter.
If you install the 16 tooth gearbox sprocket it will lower the rpm at 70mph giving a more relaxed ride. The performance camshaft will definitely help in this case.

I think this is a great idea. I have a BMW R 1250 RT with a load of stuff on it. It goes up on the stand, with some effort, though, it's never gone for a Burton yet. However, I think this is a great and simple solution. In fairness though, the R engined BMWs have a low centre of gravity and when they are central and against the main part of the Abba, are very stable.

It all seems a bit fiddly to me I have a hydraulic work bench from bike it international it locks the front wheel and with two tie down straps at the rear it is perfectly safe as for storage just park a bike in it or use it as another workbench. But each to their own I do enjoy your videos though.👍

I did consider a bench, but the Sky Lift allows me to remove both wheels at the same time which a bench wouldn’t. It also holds the bike very securely without having to strap it down.

Now i am not being smart but thats the first thing that i thought of . I am waiting to get my Abba lift and ordered the front wheel chock with it . Its plain to see that you need to hold the bike upright while you use the Abba lift . The front wheel chock sould come with it its very simple . I watched a few vids and realised that the front wheel chock is a must.

You had me worried by the title of this one Tiger! However I encountered the same issue when I bought my skylift and solved it in the same way as you (great minds eh?). I have to raise the front wheel of my R1250RT slightly anyway, as even with the lift in its lowest position it is still too high to fit the first connector onto the swinging arm. The Abba holds the RT perfectly - no need to worry about a lightweight like the Tiger 900 😎

Just received mine today, a few issues with it to be honest apart from the "abba shuffle" as I call it.
1/ the bottom spring attachment is bizarre, unless I've attache it incorrectly.
2/ Supplied nut & bolt that replaces the foot pedal clevis pin (the nut supplied is to thick to fit in place) luckily I had a shallow nylock nut.
3/ It won't reach full height (short by around 15mm) to fit the safety clevis pin.
    Anyone else had issues?
    Steve
