What’s up guys. Hope you like the video. This is just part 1 since it’s a long video. Links to brakes down here and description.. Part 2 will be up very soon!! Enjoy…. Let me know what you think. (Rear) Akebono Big Brakes (Powerstop): amzn.to/3vmVCOn (Front) Akebono Big Brakes (Powerstop): amzn.to/3iEo3EH R1 Concept Rotors for Big Brake kit (black): amzn.to/35ojR4c
You have inspired me - I have made the leap and bought new tires and wheels (20inch), coilovers, searching for a muffler shop, and of course, this brake setup. My question is, I went to Z1 (because of the banjo bolts) and they are selling caliper mounting bolts . . . are those needed? Z1's website says that the mounting bolts are needed for this upgrade, however, I have watched your brake videos multiple times and I swear you are using the caliper mounting bolts that came on your Nissan. What's up? What is actually needed?
I truly do appreciate you doing these mods to your car. I too, have a 7th Gen and plan to start doing some mods. And since you are doing the mods and posting them, it makes the guesswork for the rest of us go away. Once again, I appreciate that and thanks. But I do have two questions ( I am new to mods for my car so the questions may be . . . newb-ish) 1. Rather than purchasing an aftermarket "big brake kit" are there no Infinit models that have larger brakes? Perhaps the M series? This may be a more affordable option while staying with oem reliability. 2. Do you have an Amazon page or something like that? If you had an Amazon page we could support you and the mods by purchasing tools or kits to try out. Maybe I am just feeling guilty because you are doing all the hard work. It's like being back in school and we are just copying your homework.
Thank you I appreciate what you wrote. As for now no page but as to support the channel I have have links in the description for the products I use and by anyone purchasing them, it helps out the channel. I also have a couple things in mind for the future. Also if you don’t want these type of brakes. The regular 2 piston on the Infiniti and 370z work. I only heard of 1 person do that to the Maxima.
The brake dust is pushed into grooves and realese at edge during rotaion so they should always be this direction 6:29. Going the other way traps brake dust with no escape under pad creating build up and slipage and heat build up when driving hard and heavy braking
@@HorsepowerLabs Just like u said at 6:29 the way the wheel rotates. Alot of companys make one rotor in one direction. u need to make sure u buy the correct and should say Left and the other should say right going by the way they will rotate.Image there is a ball in the groove when the rotor is going fast which way would the ball roll --> up... the same way u want brake dust to go up and off the rotor
I have a link in the description. They are R1 concept rotors but have to be for q50 or q60 with Akebono. Cant be the same some as what the maxima came with
Where did you get your brakes from and how does the brakes work for you on your car since you had them on your car do you like them or not if you like I'm going to get them for my car
The head sucks at giving good lighting at night time . I had them on my maxima and I took them back . They looks good got looks but as far as giving good they sucks . The factory give way better lights and you had aim the right
Yeah dude. I was waiting about 4 months for another drop. They come and go, but the drop last month definitely wont be the last one. Watch amazon consistantly, they dont sell out super fast but its good to be quick
Do you know the part numbers? I’m looking to upgrade my brakes as well. Any help with the part numbers would be greatly appreciated. Good looking Max bro.
Bro there’s a way you can help me finding these brakes ? I put them on my Amazon cart and it say it will not fit my maxima SV 2014, I need this upgrade
