I genuinely love how there's an entire subgenre of games whose sole purpose is to appeal to complete masochists and/or actual military generals because when I thought things couldn't get more mental than Dwarf Fortress or Command: Modern Operations, boy was I wrong.
Actually it's very accessible! There is a little bit of a threshold for just getting where the game is (check out the links at the end, DasTactic did a really nice series, but even the first stream gets everything straight), and then you just go with the flow. The threshold definitely isn't higher than for Paradox games. My only beef with it is its wargame-style pricing (but then, Paradox 😅).
I can see the appeal but sadly I´m too much of a graphics whore to really enjoy these kind of games. If my brain doesn´t receive atleast some neuron activation through minimalistic battle animations and sound feedback a la UoC II I´m just not able to keep an attention span long enough to discover the intricate and often very interesting mechanics hidden behind these Excel spreadsheets. Which is why I find it pretty remarkable how you managed to present this game in a funny and entertaining way, nice video! 👍

@@Hexaboo Yeah 30$ seems a little high, but all wargames tend to be stupid expensive,so it makes sense at least.

Yeah, understandable! Although the battles themselves often get very intense, and pretty attention-grabbing! :)
