She doesn't "distort" her words. Every vocalist has their technique of projection and she has hers with briliant tones and great resonance on every word of every song. Bungo, look up what you're are in discord about. You might find that you are not the right one to critique someone, as masterful as Lara, jus' sayin'. Just being constructive, that's all...
Well, I'm for sure not as technically refined as Lara. I love her tone, her projection, and her resonance. She's my favorite. But nobody is perfect, let's be honest. And I believe that that my observation is accurate. In this song, I think it's easy to observe that she's not pronouncing ""too late". She's pronoucing "too laaaaaiiit." And this is not the first time she did this. Someone has point out a similar issue in her performance of Adagio in Moscow. She pronounces "makes me Ba-laiiiif" instead of "believe." This comment is mentioned in one youtube video that for now I cannot find it. I don't understand your point. You are telling me that I am not the right one to critique someone as masterful as Lara. You have to understand that this is a public space. And she is a public figure. Anyone can and has the right to criticize her. We are living in a free world. Anyone can criticize. Seriously, I think what you said is nonsensical!

That takes the beauty of the song completely away. How can anyone enjoy anybody"s music if all you care to do is listen to each word by redundantly shooting it down. I feel that Lara, after many years of musical studies, is on top of her game. I myself, enjoy the entire piece of music, not pick it to pieces and get nothing from it. What a shame that you and others' goal is to pick apart every word she sings and at the end have really nothing left to praise her for. You have gained nothing overall, since you have fine tooth combed each and every word she sings, as opposed to listening to the entire song as a whole. That has to be miserable for you. Very sad you can't enjoy a particular vocalist's way of singing by putting greater emphasis on her articulation and enunciation of certain sounds, as opposed to just listening to the song in it's entirety.
I’ll tell you why I gave such a critique. I did so because I THOUGHT that her performance was so flawless. It’s one of her best performances to my belief. Then, as an enthusiast in singing and vocal techniques, I began to listen to it again and again for the sake of VOCAL STUDIES. Indeed I’ve been listening to this every day. Of course, the more I listen the more my first impression that this is flawless began to fade. Then I detected a very minor flaw she made. That’s it. I think you need to stop judging people unless you understand their motives. I have my own motivation that drove me to listen to her critically.
