My female dog 5 year old had low platelets count in the month of January, and didn’t eat anything for 4-5 days. Experienced vomiting and blood in stool. After diagnosis, it came out to be because of low platelets and then recovered after 5 days of drip. But the next month by the end of February she stopped eating anything, had cough and made gulping sound in throat. After diagnosis it came out to be tick fever with low platelet counts. It has been 8 days since we are visiting vet and getting her drip done and injections. Still she is not eating well. Doctor has recommended to give platelets booster and other things.

Not every tick has the disease, relate it with dengue, not every bite will transmit the disease.
Sir kindly reply i had a labrador she was 8month at the tym of february she vomited and along wit fever doc gave her antibiotics. ..there was no change and appetite also lost..then they continued antibiotics at the time of march she got seizure ...and got paralysed completly and at that tym she was diagnosed wit babesia gibsoni.and ..after 4days she passed away... And i was so lost after 4days i brought another golden retriever ...its a male..and we cleaned our house ...and i found some fully engorged ticks n brown coloured ticks ...is there any chances to get babesia again...?i m so tensed plss reply🙏

Hello..my dog had tick fever and his medication are on since 6 days.
He had a bloated stomach too basically the doctor said his spleen was enlarged can you please explain what was the cause of bloating with tick fever.
Also he is having breathing issues as well. I sat beside him and counted he was taking 45 breathes in a minute

Oh same case. My lab diagnosed with tick fever. Doctor explained about her bloated tummy. This tick fever caused the blood cell in dog to destroy, their liver, spleen as a result started to get bloated in appearance. This condition in severe case will lead to jaundice.
After 1 week of aggressive treatment in vet my girl recovered slowly. Doctr recommended liver tonics, iron supplement etc for further recovery.

My 2 years (20 kgs) old Siberian Husky has recently been diagnosed with Tick Fever (Anaplasmosis - done through iclear rapid test) and been prescribed Doxypet 200 (Doxycycline) for 20 days. His platelets were 130k when the blood test was done.
Now, every night after his kibble diet I am giving this medicine but very soon after that he just vomits the entire food with tablet. Because of this his health has started deteriorating as no food remains in body.
Can you please suggest what should be done in this case?
He has been given NexGard regularly and I have not seen any ticks on his body in the last 6 months at all as I check upon him every other day while grooming.
Is it possible that fever can surface if tick has been bitten 6 months back?

Hello doctor am from Rajasthan and mere pas German shepherd dog hai lagbg 3 saal ka boday weight 23kg uske epistaxis ki problem hai jab bhi nose bleeding hoti hai bahut excessive hoti hai or agar nhi hoti to fir 6 month tak nahi hoti mai deworming bhi time par krwata hu management bhi excellent hai .....but yeh disease pichha nhi chhod rahi ....so plz agar aap kuch suggest kar paye to aapki bahut meharbani hogi 🙏🙏

After 25 days vet has idntified tick fever in my dog, now he is unable to move except for his neck. And he cries in pain a lot , though no rashes till now but hes nothing left in his body no mass i mean. Will he survive? if not, can we put him to sleep, i cant see him suffering day night

I have two puppy, one seven months old and another only 50 days. The smaller one carried tick with herself from her breeder and now both of them have them. One mistake I made unknowingly I took them out with my hand as many as I saw.......... Is that be a problem ? And secondly.........I am worried about the smaller one more because she is too small for strong medication, also these they or two I see her little bit low on her energy........ There could be multiple reasons for the symptoms you are telling. Most likely it would be Tick fever along with worms inside the stomach.
