Good evening, I'd like to thank you for your brief explanation of tematic analysis. However, I have a question, in fact I'm working on the excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages between university students. My research question is what is the knowledge of young people aged 18-24 regarding excessive alcohol consumption for current and future biopsychosocial health. My theoretical framework is Bronfenbrenner's bioecological theory of human development. My concern is that with this theory I should define the themes? Thank you very much for your reply.
Sir, for the deductive thematic analysis, where can we found the framework for the step? May I know, because for like usual inductive we can follow Braun and Clark (2006) 6-step Guide to Good Thematic Analysis.
If we are going to analyz major themes of a novel under some theoretical framwork , coding will be necessary ? Or highlight ing and underlining will be enough?
no they are not necessary. You can have a strong thematic analysis with a few main themes. But... the question is not what is necessary, but what comes out of your coding ;-)
This video came in handy. Thank you.

Hi this is very useful.
Thanks!

I would always recommend supporting your coding with a software such as nvivo, taguette, whatever you prefer.
Sub themes are necessary sir?
