    Great video and thanks for letting us have the possibility of winning these feeders and in my case updating them to see if they can work to the advantage of the angler. The only real benefit of these feeders is to add maggots to the feed. So I would not have a hinge on the body. Indeed I would glue this so as not to let it open. Then I would 3D print a top which clipped onto the top of the feeder sides. You could fill the feeder as you did but would then clip on a top to allow maggots out of the feeder on all sides. Let me know what you think. Once again great video as usual.

    Nice review. I must confess I just pack mine from the top , I find it quicker, and you do not have to worry about ground bait under the clasp. I think they used the same base mould as the grub feeder, hence why it has the same clasp system for opening and closing. I was plagued by small perch on a recent trip, so I also used wafters (and corn) on the hook with good results. I will say however, that out of the three feeders in the camo pack, this is the least used, behind method feeder and grub feeder respectively. But, in winter, I think they could be an excellent approach. I think the 30g pack are good value for the three different types.

  • @keithdavies79
    @keithdavies79 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Like others have said, looks like in manufacture it was easier for them hinge both the grub and window. No need for a hinge on the window. Have used the grub one no problem with the hinge, good idea once you get the hang of loading it. But the window one just leave it closed or even glue it down then fill it with your loose naturals and close the 'window'with a smear of ground bait. Try on a quick change Swivel and alternate between that and a mesh with just groundbait every half hour or so, so as not to give em to much worm/caster or such. works for me on my local that's full of good size bream. Learnt this tactic watching Steve ringer. Saying that I still think the guru or preston front loaded windows cast better. But have caught a few bream using a buoyant caster popped up on the clip with the korum. When spring comes around again I think the pop up caster on the clip with these might be a good tench trick, will have to see.

    I think you are spot on with your comments. Why a hinge and clip which doesn't work if you load normally. Been using a cage feeder for years with maggot and groundbait even made my own with DIY wire mesh. Just another commercial gimmick to pressurise the angler's wallet.

    Have seen these in the shops 😉 but this is the first time I've seen them in action. Having to use a hammer to get the stem out is an absolute joke 😒 I hope you get a reply from Korum over this...
    To be honest, they do indeed look a lot of faffing about and can't see the point of why you would have a lid that opens out if your not able to close it due to small amounts of bait🤦🤦🤦
    Think you should cut your losses with these feeders and not waist your time with them 😉

      Dont it wind you up when the quick change stems are jammed so tight. To have to use a hammer is an absolute joke imo.
      What's the point in the cage flicking open if you can't close it when loaded properly due to bait round the rim 😮
      Think your bang on giving them away as it seems too much fafing around to me 👍
      Keep up the great work pal and look forward to the next film 👍👌💪

    I'd like to see a response from one of the guru match pros, cos to be honest I can't see what is being achieved that can't be achieved with feeders already in you're tackle box, most people who regularly feeder fish, will heve, method, banjos, hybrids cage and maggot feeders, I cannot see the benefits of adding this to the armoury.

    • @alanoliver5378
      @alanoliver5378 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Off work today, just done a bit of research, firstly, if you watch one of the top pole anglers, as they catch a fish, they feed almost emediately while playing the fish, this settles any other hungry fish, the window dies this, the angler strikes into a fish any feed left instantly empties out of the window and settles any hungry fish, now westy me ould mate, they are not designed for starting a session, this isn't me trying to sound like I know what I'm doing😂 I didn't have a clue till 30 minutes ago, at the minute I haven't seen them used on a commercial venue, only wild natural venues, so that said, the usual method is, put bait in repeatedly casting a large feeder 10 times or simler, fish a cage feeder over it, when you're catching fish regularly with plenty of indications switch to the window feeder, this introduces slow release bait, if you strike into a fish any bait left in the feeder is deposited right in the correct area instead of being spread about by the fighting fish, does that make sence, I like the idea and will deffinately be buying some now, I do fish reservoirs for bream, they are not meant to replace method or hybrid feeders on commercials, hope this helps anyone who like me was confused.
