It's the second time I've had to replace the bulb in my 2013 and I was delighted to remember that I've seen the same TH-cam presentation before. the speaker is quiet and understated but he does an excellent job of getting right to the point. well done thank you again for taking the time. it makes it so much easier when you have somebody doing it before you and showing you the little things like which end is up.

KLB: Always change both bulbs. Two practical reasons: 1) the older a bulb gets, the lesser or dimmer its light output gets. Replacing both bulbs helps insure that their lumen outputs are equal. 2) if one bulb gets busted from normal use, chances are that the remaining bulb is also nearing its useful life. Replacing both bulbs might save you the trouble of changing the old busted bulb on a dark road.
Keep the other but still usable bulb in the car with you for peace of mind 👍It will act as ready reserve when you're on the road, just in case.
And as Aurasifia Alvarez said, never touch the glass part of the headlight when handling them. Oil on your fingers will smudge the glass and create hot spots when you turn them on. Hot spots will severely affect longetivity. Cheers 😀

Marinduque - The Heart of the Philippines Thanks for the tips! I will replace both bulbs. I’ve seen drivers with one headlight dim while the other one is more bright at night. I just ordered my lightbulbs. So I have to pick them up after work tomorrow. I don’t drive much at night... but when I do, I like to make sure all of my lights work.

Marinduque - The Heart of the Philippines I will let you know how it went. My hubby is out of town for a couple of days. I don’t want to wait until he returns to change them out. And it’s good to know how to take care of car maintenance in situations like mine on my own. Plus, I don’t want to get stopped and be given a ticket either 😉

Marinduque - The Heart of the Philippines I did it! I hurried home from work to change the bulbs out. It was so easy to get to where the bulbs were at. They are so bright at night on the road. I think they’re too bright. But better bright than dum or no light at all.

@@klb6453 KLB Impressive! I'm happy for you on a job well-done and the confidence it gives us DIYs. 😆🎶
When I replaced my headlights, I had a bit of a struggle undoing the metal clip holder/lock since it was out of sight and had to rely on feel (Jazz 2nd gen).if I may, what model & year do you have?
But no matter what, enjoy the self-satifaction (and that lingering glow) of not only completing the job but doing it well.👍

Going to use your method to change out the bulbs in my ‘09 Fit Sport because after 12 years, the original left high beam just went out.
Edit: the job took ten minutes for both sides. Getting the little retaining clip took the longest to put back where it belonged.

Good to see an easy "how to" on the light bulb replacement. the #9003 headlight bulb fits almost all Honda Fits. If you're not sure, ask the counter person at the local auto parts store for help. If you don't trust that person, ask for the whole parts person or the manager for help

Good video. Follow these steps EXACTLY and DO NOT listen to the videos that try to sell you the LED conversion kits. Those conversion kits do NOT fit properly because the rubber boot does not fit over the heat sink of the LED lamps. In those videos trying to sell you the LED conversion kits, they make it look like you can unscrew the bulb without removing the rubber boot, and you can simply screw the bulb in, all without removing the boot. That is a complete LIE and those videos are designed to make LED conversion kits look easy and trick you into buy them. Don't fall for it and just replace with a normal hallogen bulb and follow this video!

AuraSofia Alvarez Your video was so helpful. Yes, the project went very well. The installation was easy to do. In fact a couple nights later, I was driving and another driver in the opposite direction was flashing their lights. They must have thought I had my high beams on. I did not. But at least I knew I replaced the lights properly.

Which stock bulbs come in honda fit 2012 from factory ?

    • @sofiaalvarez8798

Syed Usman Ali So we got the sylvania ultras 2 pk which were $44. The stock are about $11 ea + shipping & tax and are probably less bright. Up to you which is worth more but here's the spec: Bulb, Headlight (HB2) (12V 60/55W) (Stanley) - Honda (33111-SR3-A01)
