Congratulations! Question + something to think about: AZ gets HOT, even if you’re up north. A black cabin would be a pretty bad idea. It LOOKS great, but the desert is unforgiving when it comes to the sun. Also in regards to a possible SHTF situation: where will you get water? You’ll need it to drink, and you’ll need it to grow food, and I’m thinking you may not be able to just go to the store to grab some. Rainwater collection is an option during the wetter part of the year, but you’d have to collect a TON. And one last thing to think about is where will you park your vehicles? If you park them out in that sun, they will deteriorate. I’d suggest a simple garage to keep the sun off of them. Peace! 🙏🏼
hahaha, this is too funny. "Rainwater collection during the wetter part of the year". The green scrub is Creosote brush, it only grows in the desert southwest where rainfall is 2 to 3 inches per year total.
Good points Freedom. I would definitely buy at least a 3 sided canopy made for cars. Also...You think your alone out there...but far in the distance are people watching you and progress...one day you go off and they will Raid your place and take what they can..it happened a few times to different outlander just like them.
I know of several people down south of Tucson who live entirely on rainwater. They started with a 3000sf rain roof and 4000-5000 gallons of water storage and it lasts all year even though it may only rain a couple times per year. For a part time living situation it would be easier.
@@Mike-vd2qt During the monsoon rains if you have a good water storage system set up you can collect enough water for all year. I follow different Arizona homesteaders and yes I have watched them do it in the Arizona desert. others get water containers and have water delivered. The problem is if you are not there all the time someone can come in and clean you out. I have heard horror stores. The water storage systems are expensive and they will steal them too.
Thank you so much! I know, there is a TON to think about and prepare for. I don’t have all the answers as of yet. We’re figuring things out as we go. Lol! May the Lord be with us and help us. I truly believe He will help us and give us the wisdom and tools we need to be self sustaining and safe😇❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. And I’d be more worried about people coming in my home and stealing when I’m not there in the city then out where we are.. They can come in if they want, and be met with a not so good surprise.

Just came across your channel I am looking to purchase land in the near future. Not sure what state I’d like to end up in but this is definitely an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Whenever I watch Arizona content or visit Arizona, what always comes to mind is Arizona was the last state in the country to formally install an MLK holiday. It took some fight but they did it. Glad to see yall open a potential business/home there, good luck!!!
I just found you while searching “3 acres in Arizona”. lol. I really love your spirit, your optimism and your enthusiasm. Can’t wait to see your final project
😎 AWESOME 😎 Something to keep in mind, during Monsoon Season each year, that sandy dirt road will be treacherous & slick. Within the Arial Views I noticed several washes as well, they'll be flowing like a river. I love the Desert, especially, Arizona. Oh, those Mountain Range Views ! Snakes, that's Prime Real Estate for Scorpion's. LoL 😂 I subscribed, will be interesting to watch you both be Blessed by God Almighty.
My husband is pestering me for years on selling our 8 acre homestead here in NJ to move to AZ.Ever since he saw the desert and the mountain views that envelops AZ he fell in love in it.And the skies and the stars at night are spectacular! So as soon as I say “yes” then we’ll look for at least 10-20 acres around Sedona area.Gotta make it happen because he’s pushing 63soon.
In the middle of May it turns awful.i lived there 8 years and I use to say its like standing on a hot BBQ grill that's inside an oven on broil thank god my utilities were included in my rent because I ran that central air non stop and even at night the temp was 97 . During the day 120 degrees, I finally left there ... oh and the monsoon it was like something out of a movie.
Really love this! i bought 5 acres in really cold Colorado valley but was looking in Nevada and Arizona around Wilcox-Cochise before. Now I’m in the Mexican desert instead but looking forward to watching y’all’s adventure. I remember reading about sunken garden beds to help hold onto water.
Be very careful in the Cochise and Willcox area-they have serious water issues. Read The New York Times article, The Water Wars of Arizona. It is eye opening and shocking.
Hey SImona, I'm just now seeing your channel and I love your vibe, ambition, and vision. I can see you property as being an Oasis for those that want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Add about 10 shed to homes along with some landscaping now you have a natural resort area. Anyway, just my thoughts. Again, keep up the great work and continue to keep your eyes on the vision. I wish you and your visions an abundance of success and profit. Thanks for sharing the video.
Hi Simona! I stumbled across your channel and just LOVE that you and your family are following your heart and moving to AZ to build your new home! My husband and I are doing the same and we are so excited to be on this same journey with you all, though a bit behind since we've had the land since Nov. of 2022 and still have not built on it. I'm so impressed with your story and am eager to follow along! Blessings to you all! ❤
You can never go wrong buying land-smart choice! I bought some land in the Eastern part of AZ. Wish you all the best as God continues to bless you. Tell us about the night sky, I heard it's incredible!
Wow! Love seeing other people of color doing this!!! I'm about to buy land in the Joshua Tree area. I want to live on it AND do some Airbnb to it! How awesome! thank you for sharing. I 've subscribed and will be following you!
Oh wow!!! That’s awesome!!! Congratulations!!🎉🎉🎉 I’ve been hearing quite a bit about that Joshua tree. I heard that prices are going up out there too, since everyone’s buying land out that way now.
The scars of your clearing will last 200 years. And the summer temps where that green Creosote Brush grows will reach 125F, with yearly rainfall approximately 2 to 3 inches. Add some trailers, broken down cars, an outhouse, and it will be another broken dream rotting into the desert. Exactly why every five miles out there dirt roads heading toward the mountains are littered with junk left behind.
Hi Simona 😊 I have an off grid parcel about 10 minutes from you. I've had it for 4 years now. I'm not moved in for another 5 years yet because I want my daughter to graduate in Yavapai County first where all her friends are. We have been at our current house for 12 years. I did have to put fencing up around my camper because the cattle came and trampled everything; solar lights, signs, flattened one of our camper tires( yes the hoof prints were there as evidence😂 and they left big piles of cow patties all over the property. Great idea to at least get barbed wire up first and fast, then put something of your choice up later👍 Beautiful area you chose🏜️ 💯 Blessings to your family Simona and maybe me and my teens will see you around sometime. We only go out there quarterly at this time, it's a 5 hour drive round trip for us. Thank you for sharing your story Simona❣️ 🌟New Subscriber🌟
Hello from someone who also lives in Arizona. Hope you know how hot it gets here before you came out here. It is peaceful here but does get very hot. I have lived in Arizona for over 40+ years and two wives. I wish you good luck in your adventure.
I'm saving my money, I'm 55, retired, still look and feel fairly young, I have the income SO I'm doing it. Thanks for the push, God will take care of us
Congrats! We just bought 200 acres in Williams, 60 in Flagstaff. We are developing a private tinyhouse community for our family, and eventually for close friends to build tinyhouses, micro cottages, and micro homesteads on. The 60 acres will be for our Legacy Wagyu operations, small size vs our tx, co, wy, and mt ranches which are 1800-4500 acres each! How goes the progress? In our N AZ props we already have ibeam framing for solar arrays/covered parking which we will also gutter for rain catchment, infrastructure is done, gravel and concrete for each spot and hookups are done. Property is solar bias, so connected to grid, but each unit will have batteries for backup, and each unit will have 200 gallon storage tanks that will be under frost line for emergency water and for each spots small garden or small green house. We are still building the communal green houses, and we will be building a new barndo for the stock tanks and fishery operation so the community truly will be able to produce all their own food! Bovies, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, conies, and a variety of different fish! Barndo will house also 4, 25k gallon storage catchment tanks to offset water, should water become scarce or unavailable. We have a place in phoenix that has sold us new storage containers we will cut partially up and weld, for our communal gym space! By next summer we are hoping to have settled already about 50-60 couples, and about 20-30 families. All our tinyhouses are being built as RV's for legality sake and ease of insuring for safety net purposes. AZ also allows folks to import and use KEI trucks or vans as UTV's so we have about 50 '2023 Daihatsu hijets that are Left Hand Drive, from the Philippines instead of Japan which are right hand drive, should ease gas consumption a fair bit! Good to see other folks building their lives out vs wasting money renting or paying a huge note for a mcmansion cookie cutter house in a planned community! God bless and enjoy the process!
wow congratulations Simona what a blessing cant wait to see more may God continue to bless your family love you shouting out from the beautiful island of Barbados
Any update? I keep checking back for updates 😂. I subscribed now so just to follow you on this. My in laws live in North Eastern Arizona. They have 40 acres and I love visiting them out there! They are living one of my dreams! They are self sufficient, have their own water, power, shooting range, gardens and etc. They have solar power, a windmill to generate power, a shed that houses all the batteries to run their electricity and a backup generator.
Congrats on going for your dream. Just found your channel and love that a couple express different opinions. You’re keeping it real unlike other TH-cam couples where everything is great . I’m in da Bronx now but moving to Arizona. If I ever run into you guys, drinks are on me. Cheers
Love this! My husband and I bought 11 acres of land in California City, the ghost town that was meant to rival Los Angeles but no one ever came? We bought it through an owner finance network as well for a super good price but aren’t sure what to do with it. I knew I wanted it cleared but didn’t know where to start. Where did you find the gentleman who did the clearing for you? I’ve also gone back and forth between homesteading since I homeschool already, Airbnb, or like a desert family retreat since we do an annual prayer conference in our family. Still trying to decide. Looking forward to watching your journey!
Have you spent any time in California city? This city has been a real estate scam for 50 years. Mostly people don’t last one winter before they give up, the climate is brutal.
@@markusr1308 we only spend a couple weeks at a time. As I mentioned above we may not use it for full time living so I’m not super concerned about the climate changes at this time and I do follow along with the weather alerts for the area so I’m aware it varies quite a bit.

I am so proud of y'all. I am developing 20 acres in Georgia and it is work but SOUL SATISFYING WORK! Let me know if y'all need any worker 🐝's while I'm still in AZ to help.
We just bought land in AZ 1.45 h away from LV and we Envisioned the Christian community and homestead as well so when I heard that I knew I had to link with you some how. God is awesome
Girl, I am SO JEALOUS! I live in Tucson and I have been dreaming about getting myself a little parcel & doing the same thing! Maybe I should stop dreaming and just do it. I would love to be your neighbor in a like-minded community...homesteading together is where it's at! Best of luck & blessings to you!!
You can do it!! It’s such a great investment! Plus land in Arizona is very affordable! I’d say go for it!!🙂👍 I’ll post a video soon about how we purchased our land!
Just came across your channel I am looking to purchase land in the near future. Not sure what state I’d like to end up in but this is definitely an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
I Love it when a plan comes together and that a black cabin looks great. Like you said, the goal is to be debt free. Take Care! 💖
Thank you!!❤️ Yes! Debt free!💪🏽
Absolutely Stunning place to be it's fantastic hope you both have a great time together Big Love from the UK 🇬🇧
Whenever I watch Arizona content or visit Arizona, what always comes to mind is Arizona was the last state in the country to formally install an MLK holiday. It took some fight but they did it. Glad to see yall open a potential business/home there, good luck!!!
Wow I thought that was a national holiday.
Arizona does not need an MLK holiday
I just found you while searching “3 acres in Arizona”. lol. I really love your spirit, your optimism and your enthusiasm. Can’t wait to see your final project
Awe!💕💕💕 Thank you so much!!🙂
Hello Simona! Congratulations on your new adventure! This is going to be sooo nice! Thanks for sharing! 😊
😎 AWESOME 😎
Something to keep in mind, during Monsoon Season each year, that sandy dirt road will be treacherous & slick.
Within the Arial Views I noticed several washes as well, they'll be flowing like a river.
I love the Desert, especially, Arizona. Oh, those Mountain Range Views !
Snakes, that's Prime Real Estate for Scorpion's. LoL 😂
I subscribed, will be interesting to watch you both be Blessed by God Almighty.
Yes!! Go for it!! Life’s too short! Enjoy it to the fullest!🙂❤️
Check the Ash Fork AZ area. Many homesteaders there with large properties. Close to Interstate 40, about 75 miles from Sedona. Elevation of 5100 ft.
If you're looking around Sadona, you better sell your NJ land for several million.
So this is what freedom looks like, this is what generational wealth looks like. This is amazing and exciting. Keep us updated
Congratulations too you and your husband. That's what I'm talking about. God people prosperous. Be bless.
Awe!!💕💕💕 Thank you so much! That’s such a great idea too! Thanks for sharing!🙂
So happy to have you back Luv, blessing to you and the family . 🥰
This is beautiful Simona.. been missing you and the videos! I’m happy for you and your family on your new adventure 🙌🏽
Awe💕💕💕 Thank you so much!! I have a video coming out in about a week!😀
I’m so happy for y’all ❤ I am glad you are back! I have missed you and your I
videos! I love your love for God!❤
Joshua tree is awesome and the other near by towns. The desert has it's owo unique beauty .
Congratulations , Simona happy for your new journey and can wait for your next video take care and god bless you and your family 👍🙏❤️❤️
Shed house will get mighty hot my friends 🙏
Have you considered a different way like cob?
Sending blessings to you both❤
Hi Simona 😊 I have an off grid parcel about 10 minutes from you. Thank you for sharing your story Simona❣️

Thanks for the push, God will take care of us
Amen 🙏🏾🤎
Do you have a TH-cam channel I would like to the process of your tiny home community
@@brandiknight6592 i do not have a TH-cam, dunno how to make all these videos other folks make!
So good to have you back!! This is great 🤎
Hello!!!👋🏾👋🏾👋🏾😃 Tysm!!

I love the idea of a Christian community!!
Bless you folks. I wish you all the success and joy in your ventures. 😉
Thanks for sharing Dan! So looking forward to watching more episodes
I love that black cabin! Cant wait to see it come together!❤
Thank you so much!! I’m super excited to decorate it! Lol!😂❤️
I'm VERY impressed, this takes serious backbone and HEART! Good luck!
Congrats on going for your dream. Just found your channel and love that a couple express different opinions. You’re keeping it real unlike other TH-cam couples where everything is great . I’m in da Bronx now but moving to Arizona. If I ever run into you guys, drinks are on me. Cheers
Yall have a beautiful property praying for yall 🙏 💙💯
Thank you so much!🤍🙂
I'm so happy to hear somebody else thinking the way I do!! Go for it.... God will lead you! I'll follow you.😀🙏
Amen!!🙌🏾❤️ Thank you so much!!
Congratulations
Simona & Husband I have 11 acres of land in GA I would love to collaborate with both of you.
Gods blessings
🙏🏽♥️
Congratulations, I've been looking at land in AZ. Make sure you secure your home the wind out there can be very disrespectful.
I'm looking to do the same thing. Would you mind sharing the general vicinity? Also what about water/sewer/electric?
Just started watching your channel 7/14/23 Love what you are doing! The Black cabin plan is EPIC!!!! SO encouraging to see someone do a black color scheme! PERFECT!!!
Awesome!! Welcome to the channel!!🤗 Thank you so much! Many are doubting and questioning my decision but I know the vision I have ! It will be great🙂❤️
@@simplysimona4562I feel you made a good move! And if GOD is 1st in your life your in a great place!! I can see he is! Cant wait to see your dream coming true! I moved to the south part of Tuscon about 45 min south trying to buy some land. If i get it i want to build a Barndo just like yours! I love your style!!!!!
We are waiting for an update 😊
Its great seeing others do like we are down south of Double Adobe! Its such an awesome, hard but exciting Journey! We finally have our shed and well in and are looking forward to spending more time working our adventure. I'm lookijng so forward to seeing more of your adventures!
Congratulations you two! I hope you guys start a trend! Going out to the desert and living a wonderful life! First time I seen the guy on the tractor, the only thing that came to mind was Tremors the movie! lol Watch that first when you guys get your house built! LOL Love the video great stuff! :)
Lol!! Thank you much!!😂❤️
Good luck. We are developing 11 acres in south Tx. We have a well and are fencing 2 acres now for our upcoming build of our home. Takes a lot of time and money.
I know that everyone dances to the beat of their own drummer, but this is a bit much. You are building a life in out in the middle of nowhere, and surrounding residents may not be that welcoming to black people. Not to mention the dangerous animals whos space you are inhabiting. Please be careful!
Thank you🤍 We will be careful. Everyone has been so very kind and welcoming so far. Only animals seem are cows and borrows. I haven’t even seen a snake or scorpion yet and I’ve been coming to this area for 6 years. Thanks for the concern! I’m happy we finally got our house up and everything’s going great so far!🙂
Congratulations 🎉 You are so smart and brave. The land is breathtaking. Great Move - Looking Forward To The Journey 💖
Damn look at that view! Congratulations, big time, and stay blessed!
Awe💕 Thank you so much!!🙂
Hello ! My wife and I are also planning a home stead in Arizona. And have learned a lot from your channel. Thank you
Much blessings family. This is something I wanted to do for a long time now watching TH-cam. I will jump into this much appreciate it and Peace and Love Brooklyn NYC....
I feel like those no trespassing signs should be way bigger lol, this is exciting, im following along to see the process and congratulations to you and your family !!!
I am glad I found this! I didn't realize clearing didn't cost some astronomical price! I would like to see your cost to put a fence at least around that area too! Awesome! Thanks!
What a beautiful black queen & daughter in a world full of hardships for us all. Yes! Thinking out the box! Also The Bible says calculate before residing with Gods love💝. Stay happy smart & sharing your journey helps us like myself a grandma
Thanks for sharing the info and prices makes me feel like I can do this. I'd love to live off the grid. The was informational
Great place to live, I see those mountain ranges everyday. Welcome to the valley.
congradulation on buying the land, getting out of the cities.....Arizona desert is a hard place to live but there are plenty of people giving it a try..
That was encouraging and just beautiful. Awwww congratulations🥰🙏🏾
I appreciate this video so much because I'm almost at this point, I bought 39 Acres in Nevada that has to have this done so having a bit of direction when the time comes certainly helps. Maybe add a link to the people you had help you so we can see if they are available when we need them.
Good to see you. Welcome back. Lord that’s to far away from other surroundings for me.
I’m here for the journey.
I’m glad I found your channel. Can’t wait to see your progress. God bless you and your family
You guys are very inspiring ,don’t quit you will accomplish what ever you envision. 👍
Looks awesome thank you for being totally transparent with your viewers ❤
I just came across your video and like it very much. A few years back, I also purchased some land and I'm now working on it every weekend. My future goal is to get away from the concrete jungle and maybe just maybe start a small tree nursery. But for now im happy building my own desert getaway. Love what u are doing, keep moving forward.
Hello! Welcome!🙂 thank you so much! I just stopped by and visited your channel and I must say I love what you’re doing as well! Keep up the good work! New Subbie 🙂
20 mins drive from town..Id live there...Peace & quiet
That’s all great stuff, I wish you much luck. I’ll be doing the same thing. Thanks for sharing.
God bless you guys ! I live out in Vegas and always wondered about doing something like that , escape the city . Just peace and quiet !
Congratulations folks!!! We are next door neighbor just here in the Nevada desert! Wife and I hope to purchase a couple acres of land in Williams, AZ (or nearby) down the road and build our simple abode in a land like yours. keep it up and may the good Lord continue to uplift, guide, and direct your plans. Love & prayers from the Nevada desert!
