I'm so late to thank you for this - I didn't realise you'd made it. Life is beautiful : seeing you at the lake I nearly didn't ask as you seemed to be busy and buzzing - I had no idea you were struggling to feel 'up' - I didn't want to presume or patronise, and knowing our base is not wheelchair friendly, and we're relatively clueless about how to help. But your open-ness and positivity spurred on mine, and all credit to you for taking up the challenge - not only of kayaking but dealing with the wetsuit (and booties!), river entry, explaining to us how to be help etc. We feel lucky everyday to be on or in the river, and it's a privilege to be allowed to show it off and help people enjoy it - even if you upper body felt like you'd been beaten the day after ! And thank you for the recipe : those brownies WERE every bit as amazing as they looked - we were touched to bits!

That looked beautiful… from what I can see you really do live in a beautiful place….. I could also so relate to your podcast number 5 about the money maker in the relationship… nothing is more soul destroying than being ‘ looked after financially’ by someone else ( well there probably is more soul destroying things ) but it does put an unequal factor in there . Your podcasts are great. I haven’t heard them all but you two bounce so well off each other … they are great .
Can I just say I love your mum s comments she sounds so supportive and lovely 😊 you are teaching me and probably countless others really true life lessons without the cliches

When I saw the kayaking title….I imagined a gentle meander down the river !,!!! How wrong was I, that looked insane, full on white water rafting. Looked amazing
Add on in response to your cath issue, I expect you already know but if not……it can really help if you cough if it’s difficult to insert . Seems to release the muscle slightly and might help x

@@Jaggededge112 Thanks! I think gratitude is the key, I keep a gratitude diary every morning and this attunes my mind to always notice what I'm grateful for, and focus on the positive 😁
