I love the Phonak Audeo Lumity RT purchased in March of 2023, from Scot Frink, AuD of your Hearing Up Network. While i do not have the highest level technology, i have the features that i need. Love the Bluetooth features and my telecoils. The higher level features were features i could work around or wasn’t a feature i thought i would use. Now, if Phonak could work on getting a better charger that holds extra charges and work on the color. When i researched different brands and models, one possible choice was only on my list because it had nice jewel tone color choices.
You're going to love one of my upcoming videos on accessorizing your hearing aids then!! You can turn your hearing aids into anything you WANT! Should be out in a couple weeks.
I have PHONAK 90 I purchased them new two years ago back is the worst Hearing Aids I ever had. They’ve been back to the factory six times and it’s the same old same old crap. I have tried to get them replaced when a new set and no luck. I talked to the factory. They did help me out get some of the problems that I had with the Hearing Aids.
I am in the process of being fitted with the Phonak aids that are FIRST on this list. I am at least fortunate to be getting them through the VA here in Phoenix, and was told by my Audiologist at the VA that they only use the 90 level aids, with 4 other provider vendors. They will also connect me with Bluetooth at my fitting appt. Also told it might help with my Tinnitus. While in SE Asia in the AF in 1970, I spent some time on the flightline so some issues with that and some hearing loss. Also glad for the "not long ago" new VA program called the VA community Care program. So if I cannot get a reasonable time set for an appt, especially on urgent care, the VA can refer me to an outside Vendor like Honor Health Urgent Care, or for an MRI, instead of a long wait with the VA. By the way, THAT program was initiated by President TRUMP !!! Who also LOVES Veterans, active military, the cops, first responders, etc. And AGAINST Defunding the Police by the LEFT.
Hi Rachael - I have had my new Phonak Audeos for around a year now and to be honest I'm very disappointed. Firstly, the hearing quality is actually good. However, the so called automatic programming is crazy and all over the place. When I'm in various noisy environments I can sense the programs constantly changing from one to another, with no particular benefit to me. In fact it drives me nuts with this constant changing, so I just put them back into the basic program mode and leave it at that. This means I have paid a lot of money for various specific programs that I don't use, because the hearing aid does not seem to be able to work out where I am and what I need foreach environment. When I buy my next pair it will be with the most basic program options I think - unless you have very specific needs, this is what I would recommend to others. Thanks for the video.
For 2024, which would you recommend for a person who has extreme hearing loss and does not go near water. His 4 year old Signia hearing aid does almost nothing for him and I was thinking some kind of remote microphone (either using his cell phone's mic or a separate external microphone) would help him. The volume is not the issue but clarity.
You're excited voice about the Starkey app makes me doubtful about everything in this video. My trial is coming near an end and I'm definitely returning the vice because the app is so terrible. Let's see what things are not on the same page. Left and right adjustment. Reaming volume. Overall volume. Base trouble volume. And more. I'm often wanting to listen to somebody and I look like I'm playing with my phone app because I can just go screen after screen and cannot figure out how to adjust the sound. I'm a software developer for 40 years. There is no reason not to put all the controls on one page. Some may not apply and could be disabled but needing to hunt all over for sound settings is terrible. Another thing. Some of the settings cancel other settings which you don't see because they're not on the same page. So if you balance your left and right your spouse is on your left. Then you adjust volume. It knocks out the left right balance. This is a simple design where you slide both up and down not cancel settings. Conclusion. Has terrible software and be careful about doing a review where everything is wonderful.
What is always in play and seldom addressed is the MIDDLE MAN and that is why cost is attached to ZIP CODES! Alot of these manufacturers have one plant so the cost is somewhat fixed and thus the avenue for the middle man is created!?!?!?
Hey, why is Dr. Cook shushing us in the thumbnail? If she’s trying to get a bunch of HOH people to lower their voices and settle down the correct way to do that is to flick the room lights off and on!
Hi Dr Cook- I had an audiology appointment last week and have a funny question for you, one that the audiologist kind of dismissed. He did a test fitting with a pair of Phonak Lumity RIC's, which was interesting, but I have long hair (and wear glasses) and could hear my hair rustling, despite his adjustments. MIght an in-canal style be better suited?
While noticing some hair noise on the mics is expected if you are a Brand new hearing aid user, there are many adjustments that can help with this. Also important that real-ear measurement was completed!
What is the best brand for working on Android? I just got the Starkey AI's and their connectivity is garbage with my Android phone. I can't do the basic things consitantly that a $20 pair of earbuds off of the TikTok shop will do. Thanks!
Are you available, for a fee, for a telephone consultation regarding the new 2024 technology? I wear Oticon Own, level 1 and have a few questions regarding competing products. Thx.
I am still deciding on what I’ll get for my second aids after 6 years. I am NOT expecting to get cost info in a TH-cam review. I got excellent service and advice in Phoenix with follow up changes when needed. I’m looking in Oregon for someone to work with after the spoiled brat so-called doctors I’ve met. The cost of the device is only part of the price I’ll pay. I care about intelligence, experience, ethics. Transportation from manufacturer to dr. office will vary. Two years from now the “quotes” will be obsolete and y’all will be crying that you got tricked /cheated / lied to about the cost.
I wish i were a candidate for lyric but I unfortunately am not :(,.. in that case, what would you recommend for the best alternative? I have RIC’s but wanted to hear your thoughts,.. I’ve got a moderate loss. I have tried starkey IIC after switching out of lyric but the sound quality was horrible,. I like RICs but I really miss when i had the lyric devices
Let me explain the thing about hearing aids how I view them. I have been diagnosed with profound hearing loss and have hearing aids fitted. My hearing aids are Starkey that uses this lovely phone app. Everything is fine... BUT I have to say that with all hearings aids the only thing they do is INCREASE VOLUME to your ears THEY DO NOT MAKE SPOKEN VOICES CLEARER TO BE UNDERSTOOD!! With my hearing aids fitted AND with them set to TV and with the TV speaker set correctly to my hearing aids I CANNOT UNDERSTAND CLEARLY THE SPOKEN VOICE IN MOVIES etc. I have to keep asking my wife "what did they say?" I can hear that something was said BUT cannot understand what was said. Hearing aids are an expensive fraud full stop. They amplify sound and that's all they do.
All well and good I will soon be in California I need to know price and have you got suppliers there Laguna beach will be where I am at I can hear person to person ok but more ok but more people in a group makes it difficult to hear what is being said I hear you so on the phone I hear what you’re saying take things from here regards Peter

Great information! I can't wait to see how the NEW Oticon Intent stacks up!
I can't wait to hear how they stack up
Incredible rundown...brilliant thank you !!
Thank you!

You got it wrong about the left.
EXCELLENT!

Good overview.
What about Widex?
i wish starkey would offer customers an analog option to go with ITC aids that can have wheel volume controls and use replaceable batteries...
Wait for new revolution in Demant. In very few days. Oticon, Philips, Bernafon, Sonic, Maico… will radically make a big change.
OK, so what's the big change?
still waiting 😂
I'm waiting for it yet

1) What best drug for sensorineural hearing loss?
2) What best hearing aids for speech recognition?
Dr Cliff I love your bars.

You might try the Oticon Real 1’s. (I have them and they are great). They have a specific feature that dampens noise of the type you describe.
While noticing some hair noise on the mics is expected if you are a Brand new hearing aid user, there are many adjustments that can help with this. Also important that real-ear measurement was completed!
No
Phonak lumity life is the best hearing aid ever made in my opinion.
Where do Bose hearing aids fall.. I never see anyone discussing them
well id imagine not that high if you never hear people talk about them, but who knows
i think this should have the title "sponsored advert"

No ReSound on this list. I am a little surprised.

Great review! Sorry your affiliated with Rogers. Won’t do business with you.

Contact the clinic - Applied Hearing Solutions - 602-877-0000
Need to pick one for severe tinnitus in 2024 which would you pick? And what about Signia notch therapy? Ty
I can charge my Phonak Audeo Lumity L70 RL Life 10 full times with charger case go (I guess because I only use 1 hearing aid lol)

Don't install software upgrade on your phone you might find you can't connect to your phone
I am wondering if Phonak is causing more Tinnitus?
The item is very expensive. The price in Malaysia is rm8000
the slims have a 24hr battery life?

is there reliable cheap hearing aid I can buy online not OTC ? cici or ITC ?
Anything custom would require an EMI or ear mold impression done by a hearing care provider

No pricing what good is all the talk
Strange for a person to list the best hearing aids in 2024 n if that person does not wear hearing aids
I don t need you bothering me leave me alone I am doing better with my husband bill

WHY NO COST INFO?This is a complete waste of time
This was just what it said it was, the best of 2024. Costs vary depending where you are. You do the research to see if you can afford them.
Phonak are the worst hearing aids on earth!
Why would you say that 😭 I need a good quality hearing aid asap, I’ve been struggling for years
Over dramatics spoils this for me,Im out
No cost info, even ballpark numbers, renders this useless.
Ehh pricing is subjective to location of purchase
No no stop always you are take to people information about phoaks but don't say how are they buy it finde it
I think she works for Costco. One’ll recommends what they sell!
@@neilgettig2877
She starts the video by saying she works at Applied Hearing Solutions in Phoenix.
Costco doesn't carry any Phonack products @@neilgettig2877
Have you tried an audiologist?
She doesn't work for Costco. Costco no longer sells Phonak. The clinic she works at sell all products from all major manufacturers.
Do not buy scrap cameras equipped with a charger
