That was a 95,000 crowd,10,000 miles away from Home in a FRIENDLY match in Australia.
Liverpool is, obviously, an English team with an enormous 80,000,000 Worldwide fan base.
I was there
@@malcolmbeechey5583 Hi Malcolm. That's really interesting so there were a few Home fans but, mostly, Liverpool so were The Liverpool fans on holiday or was there many Ex-Pats as they could not all have emigrated, surely, or some curious locals or Aussie Liverpool fans, please ?
No matter how many times I listen to this I always get goosebumps ❤
Steven Gerard, the Liverpool captain in this game, lost his 10 year old cousin in the Hillsborough disaster. This song became even more meaninful after Hillsborough. Beautiful anthem!
Livepool is an english team btw, they filled this stadium in australia, on the other side of the world. Liverpool sing this every game and anfield their home stadium they play in every week has a capacity of 61k. Another song liverpool sing and celtic and a bunch of other teams around the world sing is 'The Fields Of Athenry' you should check out 'the dubliners' singing it live, its one of the most popular irish songs, its about a man being sent to australia on a prision ship for stealing corn to feed his family during the irish famine in the 1800s. If you didnt know during the famine over 2 million died of starvation in ireland and 2 million emigrated. The population still hasnt recovered today, there are still less people in ireland now than in 1840. Liverpool sings this song because a lot of irish people moved to liverpool to escape oppression.
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And a sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Or your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on! Walk on! With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on! Walk on! With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Murderers

Who, exactly ? Could you clarify your bold statement for the benefit of this Reactor - who may not know the story...
@brigidsingleton1596 TH-cam keep blocking my comments I suggest you Google "the 1985 Heysel killings " then you'll know what I mean
@@brigidsingleton1596 Google "Heysel 1985"
You walk alone in the city of Liverpool...murderers
Thank you, for the mention, of the 96, means alot, from our friends across the pond and around the world
The song You Never Walk Alone comes from the Rogers and Hammerstein musical Carousel.
If you liked that, you would love a Rugby international match when Wales sings the welsh national anthem Mae Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau
From a Liverpool Fan, Hell Yes and the Words of your wonderful anthem are on the back of a cupboard door in my kitchen, along with the words also in Cymraig of a folk song "Yr Eneth Glaf".
@@iaincphotography6051 Yr Eneth Glaf, Its a sad song that I hear a good few versions they can't fail to move even the deadest of souls but give me Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau with a good baritone section and an equal tenor section to lift it through the roof ! now there's lovely for you!
Thank you for the recommendation!
