Update: Looks like as of this upcoming feb. 2019 The 10 speed auto will be an option for the 2019 Zl1 1le.... Still trying to get confirmation as to whether or not the auto will be an option in the ss 1le as well.....
I hate admitting it but looking at the 19 more and more gets me liking it when I hated it so much at first, the 18 does have a softer look to it, great comparison, I hope your channel explodes in time 👍

I prefer 2018 overall more especially the front..but I do like the tail lights on the 19 more. You should look into doing black clear tail lights on yours.
@@jrock702 hold on I just saw an "RS" 2019 So on the non ss I guess the bowtie is in the grill. I think that looks a lot better than putting it in the bumper. I like that 2019 over the 2018 it looks pretty slick
If they put the new nose from the Sema Camaros I’d take a 2019 I like how they reposition the bow tie to the grille I like the rear isn’t too bad I like the lower bumper look but not a fan of the taillights.
If I was in the market to get a new 1le I wouldn't be opposed to the new look. Just kinda on the fence about whether it looks better or not... Time will tell. It's slowly growing on me.
Another great video, good comparison, you don't see many ss 1LE with the sunroof. My local dealership has the one you just did comparison with ... again no sunroof .. one of the regrets I had after building my mustang .. wish it had a sunroof or I would have built a convertable.
Yup. You don't see many with a sunroof.. Also mine is a 2ss 1le. It has alot more soft touch material in the inside. The 2ss also has heated and ventilated seats as well as a heated steering wheel. It also has homelink, and few other upgrades as well. It seems like when it comes to the ss 1le and the zl1 dealerships tend to not add to many options.
I agree, yours is the best of both worlds in my opinion, if I went that way I would get it all as well. Learned years ago not to settle, pay the extra money and enjoy.@@jrock702
Nope. So glad I bought a 2018. In addition to the odd looking front end, I don’t like the additional body line to the rear bumper. Too busy. I do like the new rear tail lights tho.
jrock702 I don’t think I the 2019 tail lights will fit a 17/18. I put a black bowtie on the front but removed the back bow tie. Left the SS emblem. Gives it a cleaner look.
@@artagain8977 I'm not sure if the 19 tail lights fit the 18 either. I wouldn't go that route even if they did. will probably go with a company called phastek performance. They make some cool aftermarket clear tail lights for the 17/18. They make a couple different styles... Back bowtie delete? That might be a good option..... I will keep that in mind. Thanks!
I had an option of getting he 18 or 19 when I bought mine a month ago and honesty I had to go with the 18 I preferred the way it looked the front end just went too far for me seems too much plastic if you ask me. I bough the smoked zl1 1le taillights and it made it so much better the red lights are horrible on white just saying
Apparently GM is aware of the dislike of the new front bumper. The 2020 SS model will have a color coded center peice and move the bowtie back to the grill area again...

Nice job on the comparison. My jaw dropped when you said the price (under 50K) I assumed it was like a 70K car. When you were in the showroom the Vette in that orange color looks really sweet alongside the Camaro.
Thanks Mike! Yeah, the 1le package adds alot of performance and visual enhancements and often people mistaken it for the higher priced Camaro zl1 with runs in the mid $60k range.

Appearance Is 1000% better on the newer Camaro. I absolutely hated the vents on the hood earlier. The front is closer ZL1. You need to try the a 10, my opinion one minute and you’re sold.

Nice I would get the 19’ only because it is updated and new! These cars get beat on pretty hard and by the time you get your hands on a used one you might inherit some problems that you need to fix from the previous owners neglect.
They already do... I have a 2018 2SS 1LE.. heated and ventilated seats, dual climate zones, 8inch screen, bose premium speakers (although they aren't that great)more soft touch accents on the doors and more...
You can currently build a 2019 2ss 1le at chevy.com. If you have been told otherwise please let me know and I will try to dig deeper on this issue for you.
@sean k : Yes. Both white Camaro's in the video have the 1le performance package.. My 2018 has the 2ss option package. This 2ss option package is still available in 2019 but this car on the lot in the video has just the 1ss base package. I’m so distraught on which one to get, the cost of the 2018 2SS and 2019 2SS are kind of close together. So I could get either one. The 2018 can sometimes look more aggressive but also, why not just get the latest and greatest? I have no idea which too get lol I do like the new rear view mirror screen in the 2019 tho

But my short time from dealer to home and around the highways at home . This car is awsome 2019 Camaro ss 1LE is the funniest car I've driven in a long time. Wants to keep pulling even in 6th gear. Love it!!

Negative the 2019 is faster due to the NEW 10-speed auto!! Everyone who has had or has a SS prior to 2019 will not know the difference til yah test drive one!! Trust me! I had a 2016 2SS all black!
Remember the video is a comparison of the 2018 ss 1le vs the 2019 ss 1le. 1le models of Camaro are only offered in a manual transmission. Alot of people are unaware of this.... One person flat out said I don't even know what I'm talking about.... It's all good though. You are right though. But yeah the 2019 SS or 2SS due to the New 10-speed auto makes it much quicker smoother & not so much jerk when shifting from all that torque lol! Initially, you couldn't get the 2ss trim on a ss 1le... shortly after they changed that. For the longest time 1le versions of the Camaro only came in a manual... That just recently changed as well. I like the 16-18 better. The body lines are more neat and flush. 19 looks like a mess but a little more aggressive than previous models.
