You are such a joy to watch, and I enjoy seeing you work through the WHOLE process! Can so identify with missing the cousin's house. I'm still laughing thinking about your hubby watching you drive back by. 😂 Dealing with ill family can be so exhausting. We don't even realize how tired we actually are because you just keep going taking care of everything. Thanks so much for sharing your videos!

Squirrels …. I love them we quite often get a grey one come in our front garden , little devil has started to dig out some of my spring bulbs but I find them cute to watch . The grey squirrels are not liked much here in the uk by some as they have nearly swiped out the red squirrels. Lovely napkin Corrine TFS xxx

I also remember my mum stitching the Autumn leaves by Semco, in the 1960’s. I still have this table cloth and another embroidery she did around the same time that is done on a very dark green linen, my favourite.

Talking about squirrels. There is a town in NC, Waynesville, that is the Home of the White Squirrel. Or maybe it's Brevard, NC. They're pretty close to each other. But, I had never seen a white squirrel until then.
Yes! They can do LOADS of damage! I had them chew a hole into the siding of my house, above the rock work above my front door. It's so high, we didn't notice until we heard something scratching INSIDE the wall, next to the top end of our front door! Then we found out they had built nests in our attic. It was a job! The best control company had to seal all around our eaves and remove any attic insulation where they built a nest.

Oh Corinne I remember my mother stitching that Semco doily pattern of autumn leaves 🍁 when I was a young girl. I’m now 68 so it is a lovely memory for me. 🍁🍁🍁🍁 I have no idea what happened to it as mum died 16 years ago. Xxx

    Hi Corrine
Gorgeous work! I love your journals. I think you are missing a prompt though. "Lazy summer days". Keep making your videos please. I look forward to them and stitching along. 😗

Squirrels are destructive. Some living my yard chewed a hole in my patio furniture cushion and pulled out the stuffing, I assume for their nest(s). But they are fun to watch.

Looking great. You sure are talented. I've been binging on your videos from your France tour. I really enjoyed them. Can you tell me where you get your napkins, are they from a specialty shop? Thanks Suzanne

A scurry or a dray of squirrels. 😂
Great idea to use some napkins for the picture Corrine, I can imagine it’s very fragile to stitch through.
(Never would have thought of using a glue stick to get it down).😊

If I were inventing a name for a group of squirrels, I'd call them a chase of squirrels because they are always chasing each other around the trees, up into the branches, and jumping from one tree to the next.

Squirrels here in the USA where I live are very destructive. They will destroy a house if allowed.

The squirrel that lives in my yard ate the wires under my car hood. The repair was over $500. Squirrels are rodents, so like rats and mice, they are very destructive. We also have these things called chipmunks. They're also rodents and a total disaster.

cute, but they dig and bury nuts everywhere, and sometimes eat fruit and veggies in gardens (and will clean out a bird feeder in no time)....
