I’ve worked at ulta for almost 7 years and what I enjoy the most is when I’m able to help a guest find a product that makes them feel beautiful, and watching their face light up when they look at themselves in the mirror. My Nan was born in the 20s. She would never let anyone see her without her lipstick and eyebrows on. My mom told me she would always have to buy makeup even if they had to go without something else. So, the lipstick theory was true for sure.

This is by far one of my most favorite episodes. I am a nurse, and when I was still a student we were highly encouraged to put make up on as to cover the stress and non-sleep nights showing on our faces so we don’t look as pale as our patients. I then started to use makeup almost on a daily basis. It is fun and definitely can boost one’s self esteem. It is so interesting how far along this industry has been thriving in human’s history. ❤
