My 18 yr old just moved out day after Christmas. I found this song the other day and sent it to him. He called me...fist words I hear were..."I love you mom". We both cried. Thank you for the perfect song for a young person stepping out on their own.
My son and I danced to this song at his wedding. He let me choose the song, and I listened to it many times the week before, because I wanted to "desensitize" myself to prevent a big ugly crying fit. It didn't work, but my son made me laugh throughout the dance & only a few tears slipped through. Thanks for the beautiful song and the beautiful memories!
Good luck to you! We had such a great time at Daniel's wedding. My only advice is to listen to it several times a day so you don't automatically cry when it starts- luckily, he kept me laughing the whole time telling me about just staring at his bride since he knew she had to speak first.
