I would be interested if you wanted to do it. I do not want anything from it so the price would be wages for you, material and shipping. I suppose wool is out of the question?
Rain on a tin roof of a rustic cabin is like therapy. Throw in a good breakfast, great coffee and a nice fire in the woodstove and you are all set. These videos bring back the purity of how simple life is supposed to be. I think I'll stoke the woodstove up and grab that cup of coffee now.
My favorite picture is the last one on this video with you sitting at the fire and the lit up cabin. I know how much you love it there. It’s perfect. The only thing missing is your lovely wife. So peaceful. Today was a sad day for me. My gramps(hubby) 91 has COVID. His vitals seems to be ok. They sent him to the hospital today to be checked out from head to toe.I just got the news he’s on the way back here to our assisted living. While I had to have a second procedure done on my back. Old age isn’t for sissy’s. So enjoy every minute you can on what you enjoy. Granny fan
Mine has quit perking. Its 6 am here in alabama. Hey my dogs let me sleep in. Cant think of an more enjoyable way too start my day than watching Martin.
Fresh coffee and being in the woods in that cabin could put most psychiatrists out of business. My Dad used to say that joke about "it won't be long now", he's gone 24 years and I still miss his company.
When my brothers and I were children in Arizona my folks rented a cabin on a lake near Prescott that had a tin roof. My mother had always said there was no sweeter sound than rain on a tin roof, and that night it rained. She was right. It remains one of our fondest memories. There is something wonderfully cozy and snug and safe about a log cabin with a tin roof in the rain. :)
Probably known this for a while , but in spite of your maturity , you still have the out look of a young boy & the same desire for further adventure; that I have. Stay Safe & I can hardly wait for the next adventure. Thanks Brian 80
I can smell that coffee all the way down here in Dallas Texas I watch your videos almost on a daily basis I enjoy them so much you live the simple life I love that thank you Martin
Thanks for sharing Martin! I got up, made some coffee, and sat down and checked if you had a video up. Sure enough! Looking forward to the winter episodes. God bless!
Not only do I like your stories but you bring back memories for me sleeping in the dark waiting for it to rain when it does I go on the 10th or the cabin or the thank you Martin I appreciate you and your experiences and how you Sherm on video God bless you
Hi Martin Just starting to brew my coffee and tuned in. Can you guess what I'm going to have ready for breakfast when my wife gets up? Always, thanks for sharing with us. Best to you both!
Two thumbs up....Thanks for all your hard work.....The very very best wishes on Bobbie and your 50th Anniversary...Ours is coming in May.....Greetings and Cheers from Canada. Keep Safe.
Thanks to you Sir ..Everyone now understands that even at a remote off grid cabin way out in the woods ..there are maintenance issues, chores and many well deserved relaxing breaks by the fire .Warmest reguards from the ressurected fish camp circa 1950 Lake Corpus Christi Tx ..
The green and black buffalo plaid is a personal favorite also. They are hard to come by for sure, these days. I sure enjoy you videos, and love the cabin you have. Enjoy it as much as you can. Thanks for sharing.
Funny how the rain on the cabin roof, and the view out your door brought me back my youth while living in the Upper Peninsula Of Michigan. Many folks my family knew either lived in Cedar Log homes or Cabins they built themselves or their forefathers. I can remember the unique smell of musty wet wood and listening to the rain on the roof while hanging around homes, and old shacks and barns. Great memories. A unique experience probably I’ve only felt in the North Woods.
Hi Martin, I'm very pleased to see you have an umbrella in Belarusian flag colors. I even made a photo of you with the umbrella in front of your cabin. Very nice! Maybe I'll print it and put on the wall :-)
The rain on the roof while you quietly get ready to leave -- sheer heaven! 😍 Just couldn't ask for a better way to end your fall trip. And I totally appreciate your organizational skills, especially the spread sheet for your food. I would do the same thing.
Martin when all the grocery shortages were happening here back in March I took the leap and canned up some milk from directions of some off grid ppl. Shelf stable for emergency uses. It was one of those things I had to see to believe. Well, I doubt it no more! Chilled down a quart last week and used it. It was wonderful!
Love North Minnesota ,I bear hunt in North Nome to International Falls every three on four years in September -October love your cabin and Bonnie cooking channel too. I'm 70 in March stay young my good man. O I live in Mishawaka Indiana
It’s great to be at the cabin again with you. Maine would love to have you in the great maine woods. I love it here and I bet you would too. All the wild life you love to watch.
So very glad to see you, Sir🥰❤️ I want to wish you, and the beautiful Miss Vonnie, a blessed new year! 🙏 Stay safe, and enjoy those marvelous cherry pies! 🥰 Blessings, Washington State 🎄
That is so funny with the shoes!! I didn't see it first time I watched it then was reading comments & saw the ghost shoes comment so went back & watched again. Of course i always watch & rewatch Martin & Vonnie videos over & over!! Martin reminds me of my dad's siblings especially the youngest man. He was so funny & usually have a joke or prank(safe ones) when we went home to little town Siloam springs in NW corner of Arkansas. Loved Arkansas-trees,creeks & rivers, rocks & hills,& can grow everything, the good fragrance of country! Besides my uncles, aunts, grandma & grandpa were there!!
One thing and this is just me. Id take a portable dvd player. With a season of the Real McCoys. Nothing like watching grandpa with dinner. Then again might just enjoy the peace and quiet.
Good day, Martin! You have got a lot started for your new projects there @ the cabin, this time out & mostly all by your self. Quit a lot done!! "WON'T BE LONG NOW", that was a good on your dad, told!! Martin, I like your shoping @ thrift store & yes, not as good on finding goods like years ago! Sweets, for a sweet guy. May God, blessing be w/you!!!!! As the song says, "These boots are made for walking", so are Martins, sneakers. That was funny, Martin, you are some else!!! Do take care. (Fl.)
Sometimes things are just meant to be ..that last pudding ! I bought an Olight rechargeable led flash light a few years ago. It was quite expensive and I was apprehensive about spending 200 dollars on a torch . It the best thing I’ve ever bought !! Worth every cent . Thanks Martin
Well, martin, you talked me into a nice cup of coffee and 2 biscotti, my wonderful granddaughter, and the apple pie boy. Is it raining here in Plymouth, mass cats, and doge? I'm 80 and can't get out much. Thank God for my kids . My wife went to the lord 14 years ago, 50 years of happiness.
Martin, not sure what our future holds, so be careful and may God watch over you and your family! Hope that our weekly visits continue. As much as I hate to I may get off TH-cam because of the censorship of conservatives. Never would believe it could happen in America! Best of luck my video friend!
I will definitely use that line about the short tail. My Dad used the line, I cut it off twice and it's still too short, as he was working on something. Won't be long now. Love it.
hi Martin. Hey, live in Maine. I could custom make a green plaid flannel shirt for you. (or red).. my husband loves his.
That would be cool! Maybe we could set up sales through here. A real Northwoodsman1 shirt!!
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 LOVE that idea. Cozy ones for the wives, too!
I would be interested if you wanted to do it. I do not want anything from it so the price would be wages for you, material and shipping. I suppose wool is out of the question?
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 I would buy one, maybe two.
@@bethlovering1301 Sounds promising ... I would buy one or two.
Must be so sad to leave the haven behind and go back into the madhouse of a world that we live in now.
I'am always thankful for the simple things in life..Thank you for the great videos..
The sound of the crackling fire was a perfect ending.
Listening to the rain is like a lullaby.
I started to fall asleep....... zzzzz
