I love you. lol! I've watched several TH-cam videos of lawyers talking about what to do if you're falsely accused of a criminal offense (1st one I watched of yours). NOBODY has the meat in their presentations like you do! I've watched 5 more of yours, subscribed, and am now going back to watch more. Thank you! You're a wealth of useful information for the defendant with a friend-like, comfortable to listen to delivery. You Rawk!

Inwas so happy when they informed me that I don't owe any restitution after I was working on paying it off. Was going to pay it in full after i got out of jail, they said i owed no restituion whatsoever, and i called the other court too. So i bought a brand new charger. Now the VA takes $500 a month ut of my check until I pay the charger money back.

Please put the restitution is part of a plea deal, and we accept a plea deal with the restitution. Then, would we still be able to request a restitution hearing to possibly reduce the restitution amount?

Im waiting for mine. I have a situation where the parents are preventing someone from paying. Now, this is a young person and his future is ahead of him. This situation should have ended months ago. People are talking and it spreading. It will affect him more than I.

I was incarcerated and denied my medication. I had a stroke the next day. Someone came and took my blood pressure, looked at me, and said; you’ll be okay. 40 hours later I had another stroke while standing in the court room. The second time they took me right to the hospital where they saved my life. I’m messed up from it but alive. What should I do to gain restitution?

I have a question. I’m dealing with a car accident the defendant was found guilty and convicted. I’m curious to know, “ why is it necessary for my attorney to know my restitution order?” I’m aware that the restitution is part of the criminal portion of my case. Is it necessary for me to give the attorney the restitution order information including amount. I’m confused. Can you help me understand this. Thank you.

The victim of a crime has seriously suffered. However, given the very low clearance rates for crimes, the possibility of the victim getting satisfaction is very low. Thus, I am certain that the best course of action for the victim is to avoid reporting the crime to the police. Getting the police involved will almost always make the victim’s experience worse.
Of course there may be circumstances where the victim is forced to report the crime. In that situation, the most painless path forward for the victim is to stay disengaged from the case. Including asking for restitution.
Your perspective is very different from the typical crime victim. Clearly you can tolerate the conflict that is at the heart of all crime justice proceedings. Most normal people don’t. This is the part that I hate most about serving on a jury. I avoid that type of conflict in my life and it is upsetting to be forced to see it while a juror.
    So, no restitution for me.

Don’t feel sorry for some victims when they demand an amount from double to four times the actual value in repair. Even police prosecutions believed it was a rort. Joanne and Nick sell more pot. McDowall in Queensland.
