I have warrant for my arrest for dui, I never received the mail they sent me because I had moved to different state. I got phone call from police officer, I told him if you had my phone number why didn’t you call me before warrant was issued. He said to me not to be afraid just come would take me 15 min to see judge and explain why I didn’t come to court and the judge will set up another court date! Should I be concerned? I only have one day off and can’t take off from work. Any advice before I go turn my self in?

My son was convicted in May this year of Indecency with a child sexual contact according to the witness his adopted daughter he rubbed the outside of where she pees out of. She is 20 says it happened when she was 11 or 12 can’t remember when it could have been this week or maybe the next and maybe the next month. In Texas if it’s over 30 days it can be prosecuted and on accusations only. Our son lived in another state filed for custody of his 5 youngest children then oldest adopted daughter filed rape charges in the state where she and our son lived. He had cut her off financially as she was doing drugs. She filed a report ONLY did not want to file charges until she talked to mother who was contesting custody. Ex had not even been served for custody as she moved, did not notify her ex husband of new address a violation of their custody order yet she already knew of custody order. Investigator in other state made comment mother in collusion. Charges out of state dropped. First judge in Texas dismissed due to be biased, breaking several of our son’s civil and constitutional rights. Seen twice without his attorney. Original lady who did CPS report here in Texas CANNOT BE FOUND TO BE SUBPOENAED really a public employee CANNOT BE FOUND. The cop who issued arrest warrant DID NOT INVESTIGATE HE WAS TOO BUSY. No immediate threat victim and defendant in different states he had time to investigate. Defendants only witness assigned to a special board appointed by governor Abbott has worked with sexual predators 30+ years only allowed to testify to his credentials nothing about his 2+ hour interview he had with our son. This special witness even told us a couple days before he took the stand during a conversation that we have a good son, he does not have the characteristics of a sexual predator and that he knows our son did not do this. Come to find out our son’s attorneys were RESTRICTED to what they could ask the witnesses, what documents and information they could present. All information from the other state indicating MOTHERS INVOLVEMENT HER BEING BEHIND ALL THIS NOT ALLOWED TO BE PRESENTED. What better way to set your ex up to keep him from getting custody of any of the kids. Also to let you all know the adopted daughters are the nieces of the mother. My son and his ex while they were married adopted his wife at the time her 2 nieces and nephew (7, 5 and 10mo) as her sister abandoned them then the father abandoned them they were drug and alcohol users. In time my son adopted them as he did not want them to go through the system and be traumatized. The ex wife is extremely close to her nieces. Our son was RAILROADED from the very beginning. The first allegation was made 12/7/2021 and he was found guilty and sentenced on the same day 05/19/2024 to 15 years and has to register as a sexual predator for something he did not do!!!!!! IT’S ALL ABOUT MONEY 💴 Our son started a business with 2 others ended up losing his share of the business he was a liability, lost his job, then lost his home, moved to Texas and lived with mom and dad, terrified to go anywhere by himself as he wasn’t to be around children under 17 and in the beginning when the court system seen him twice without his attorney present they HAD THE BALLS TO TAKE AWAY CUSTODY OF HIS OWN KIDS. HIS EX IS A NARCISSIST AND SHE SURE PLAYED THE DA AND PROBABLY MORE WAYS THAN ONE!!!!!!! OUR LEGAL AND COURT SYSTEMS ARE SOOOOO CORRUPT HERE and talking to other attorneys civil rights ones and ones we get referred to same answer from all of them WE DON’T HANDLE THAT KIND OF CASE. So where do we go from here??????

so odd, no other country really does field sobriety, so odd, most countries, it's breathalyzer, and if you refuse you are arrested, taken directly to a hospital, blood drawn and tested immediately.

A friend of mine was accused of sexual assault. It was investigated by children & family services and no action was taken. No arrest or conviction but there is still a record of the report on his public records. What can be done?

So, for first-time prisoners with felonies for DVA, it last until prison sentence over or till they do some classes in prison?

Sometimes whenever i encounter liars telling wild stories. I feel the social contract has been broken and i am no longer obligated to take responsibility and no longer obligated to be honest either. Like if one side can lie and do whatever they want. Ideally being totally honest and innocent is best, but at the same time if nobody knows what the truth is, why does it matter how honest we are while dealing with other people telling lies about us. I don't recommend making up fake stories, but at the same time if the other side is making up total nonsense and everyone is willing to accept it as true. Even though it isn't. I personally would not feel guilty about making up my own fantasy either. Regardless of the potential risks involved. But it is still required for the prosecutor to prove their alleged victim is actually a victim. And they have to prove beyond reasonable doubt the accused actually did what they are accused of. Even if a prosecutor thinks a lie is being told. They still may be wrong to assume that, but say a lie is told by someone. It isn't always so simple to make others accept an alternative version of events. Cause most of the time if one side has 2 or more people agreeing with each other. If the defense only has their word and nothing else stronger to add. Even a good honest innocent person can lose their case. But being honest rarely comes with great rewards. Not like they depict in 40s, 50s, and 60s radio and tv shows like father knows best as an example. Most people that tell the truth have that information some how working against them when that should benefit them, rather than making matters worse.

it seems nobody accepts truths and are quick to accept total nonsense before they accept the truth. So, what does someone say, or how do they phrase some key questions to bring out the lie, in order to show the judge and or jury the complainant is not trustworthy.

I am involved in a DV case facing Aggravated Assault, Battery, and Cruelty to Children in the Third Degree. I am completely innocent but he was able to call first because I was knocked out, and I left the residence in order to flag down the police which I did do and can be seen on dashcam. We had both been drinking, him much more so than me, we both had physical marks, and I told the truth but he lied leading to my arrest. Now, in the police report it was stated that I was the more sober of the two, but they have him a field sobriety test hours after the event when he lied to them about not having anyone to care for our child. No breathalyzer. I did have a blood test in the hospital as well which may or may not show my ABV level. He passed the field test and was allowed to stay with our son rather than being taken in as well. I've been informed that it is protocol to arrest both parties involved and that the police violated that protocol. We live in GA. Is this true and what can I do about it?

Lance is the best! Total boss attorney and has pulled my butt out of the Fryrear a couple times. Not only is he extremely experienced, but he genuinely cares about his clients. His prices are fair for an excellent defense attorney. He saved me 20 years ago when I made a mistake in my younger years and then just recently saved me again when I was completely innocent and wrongly accused. Everybody’s got a guy for something. Hello Attorney Lance , I’m a Muslim Afghan American and I have a DV case , on September 12th my son called the police , he was standing up for me to help me from his dad and his grandpa , husband was having verbal abuse argument with me and my son and he was constantly blaming everything on me . Then he called his dad , his dad come over the house and hit me grab me and choke me when my husband was trying to get him off of me and his grandpa come to straight my son and to called the juvenile on my son. When his grandpa put his hands on me my son got out of his room and said get your hands off my mom . When the cops arrived I was scared and frightened I was afraid for my life and my kids. I was still p protecting my family , I didn’t tell the cops the truth. When I file the DV and now the police report is making my case hard, because the judge won’t believe me now. What is it should I do? I really need protection, I also have audio recordings my son is saying why grandpa hit my mom , and how his grandpa come in and hit me got physical with me. What should I do now ? Please advise, I don’t want the DV to drop, I have court hearing on November 13 , what should I do ?

I’ve seen a few cases where the driver had a medical condition wherein it naturally produced alcohol in their body. That’s the only scenario I can really imagine where it’s a true accident (if the driver was unaware of condition).

I won't be going before a judge. Im trying to escape, not go into a narcissist playground.

The limit is so low in the US that your over the limit if you've taken certain medicines or cough syrups.. Even cough drops can trigger it..
