    ABOUT
    I thought the Dreamegg D3 Pro is a very effective white noise machine. It has a wide range of sounds, a convenient internal rechargeable battery, and a decent speaker. It even has enough bass to make some of the deeper sounds like brown noise and the waterfall sound good.

    Your reviews are by far the best. I'm going to order one of these because, after listening to your review, I know I'm going to like the rain and storm sounds. My existing machine died unexpectedly last night - Also purchased after watching one of your reviews a few years ago. I cannot be without a machine. Thank you so much for your efforts.

      I thought I'd give you some feedback about this product. My original white noise machine was the MIFA Portable Sleep Therapy Machine. I loved it. But I only figured out the buttons after watching your video on it. Anyway I preferred it's rain to this new machine. However in every other regard this machine is better. So much easier to use. The shapes of the buttons makes it easier to navigate in the dark. They also have a really faint glow when it's turned off which is very helpful. It's louder, which I love and really need in a noisy house. It remembers the timer it was last set to every time you turn it back on. And while it's not my favourite rain, it is ok. But the storm setting is excellent. I'm really very happy with it.

      Hi, and thanks for your feedback! I'm happy to hear you liked the D3 Pro - despite the rain sound not being as good as the old MIFA. It's a shame they stopped making that one, as it had some really good sounds. I have no idea what happened with it or the company.
      The volume of the D3 Pro is really good, and the storm as you say is excellent too. Whenever I review white noise machines, I always cross my fingers when I come to the thunder track that the speaker isn't going to rattle! This one did a good job thankfully:-)

    Crickets, sloshing water, a train, and a thunderstorm. Those sounds alone are making me think that this may be the sound machine for me. I already have a Lectrofan (and it's absolutely great) but it's a mix of variable fan / white noise. I may just need to grab this one as well. Thank you for the in-depth demonstration!

    • @nosleeplessnights1

      You're welcome, it's always good to know the demo of the sounds was useful. The LectroFan is awesome, but yes, the lack of nature sounds is a shame if that's what you want. The D3 Pro is a good machine, so I hope you like it.

      @@nosleeplessnights1 I continued to watch a few more of your videos and do some reading, the Dreamegg seems to show up on a lot of lists. One review determined the D1 as the second best in a list of twelve brands (behind only that very cool but very pricey one with the richness button) and Lectrofan was placed fourth.
      Of all the machines the D3 Pro seems to perfectly fit what I'm looking for in terms of the good variety of nature sounds, price point, speaker power (32 levels of volume, wow) and general portability. Thank you again for your reviews!

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  ปีที่แล้ว

      The D3 Pro is relatively new, so probably won't show up on some people's lists yet. The Sound+Sleep is good with the richness feature, as it helps hide loops. But it is quite pricey nowadays I think considering the other tech available to create white noise.

      @@nosleeplessnights1 I love the richness feature of the S+S but to be honest it didn't sound very strong in your video. Maybe the recording was just quieter, not sure. Great review as always. Does the device remain on the last sound in each category once shut off then on? Say for instance if I like the last sound on the fan setting do I have to cycle through all the options to reach it each night, if I shut the device off or listen to nature sounds during the day? Thanks

    Great video mate. Please tell me - I have the DreamEgg D8, bought from Amazon in the UK. The difficulty I have is that there is a sound within the sound when on. Like a tune when it’s on. It’s quite subtle. Is there anything I can do about this? Have you heard of this problem before? Is the D8 any good in your opinion? Thank you

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! Glad you like it. I haven't used the Dreamegg D8 myself, so can't comment on it specifically. But that is an issue that some white noise machines have. It's very annoying when you spot the sound, and in my experience is more noticeable on sounds that don't have white noise to mask it. I doubt there's much you can do about it other than ask them to send you a replacement or only use sounds with more frequencies, i.e. white noise rather than quieter sounds.

    I have a 30 year old white noise machine that's actually a Breville brand (Tranquil Moments) which I don't think they've made for decades. It runs of both A/C and 4 x AA batteries, the batteries last for months before needing to be replaced so I just recharge the batteries instead of using mains power. The thing is, it has a massive button on the top. It's set it to play rain sounds for 90 mins with one press and the volume slowly quietens until it turns itself off which I really like. And if I wake up at 3am I can just wave my sleepy hand in the general direction, slap the machine, and it'll run for another 90 mins. It's so easy.
    I want to upgrade but I cannot find a machine that's so easy to operate. With his machine for example, I'd have to press power and the music button 4 times to get the sound I want. Then set it to 90 mins would presumably take another few presses. That would wake me up. Is there a machine with a memory button that can operate with one press that you'd recommend?
    I've looked everywhere and keep finding white noise machines with great sounds and features and different coloured lights, but nothing comes close to my old relic when it comes to easy operation.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The design of that one does sound good! I don't know of any that are currently that user-friendly as you describe. Many white noise machines do have the memory function, starting up again with your last chosen sound and volume. I'm not sure off the top of my head which ones also have the last timer function. I believe you would usually need to set the timer again once you turn it on.

    • @Scorpionwins23
      @Scorpionwins23 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nosleeplessnights1I think the Homedics Sound Spa Rejuvenate you reviewed is the closest to easy operation on the market from what I could find. That one seems to work with power, then the timer button is right next to it so it wouldn't be too difficult to turn back on in the middle of the night. The sound setting and volume (I think) stay the same so that would work well. I just ordered one as a backup. Amazing that old one I have is still working, but I'm sure it'll give up the ghost sooner or later!
      Thanks for your reviews by the way, very informative and helpful!

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's up there as one of the best. Decent thunder is hard to reproduce with these little machines I think, but I do think it's more realistic in the Dreamegg D3 Pro than many others because the speaker is bit better than the smaller devices.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The only loops I was able to time with 100% certainty were the music ones. They were around 90 seconds, which is quite normal for these devices. I don't know if the nature loops are longer than that, but I doubt it as the loops tend to be similar in length in white noise machines in my experience, give or take 30 seconds maybe in some cases.

    I am just wondering if this can mask my crazy, drug addict neighbour who makes noise all night, banging, shouting and sometimes loud musuc

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wish I could say yes, but from what you describe, I doubt it unfortunately. While white noise can be good for masking music and talking/shouting, especially if it's loud or you listen through headphones, banging is a whole other ball game. Have you tried listening to white noise on TH-cam or Spotify through any headphones or speakers you already have? That way you could test it before getting a white noise machine.
      If it does work, then this particular one is a good one where volume and speaker quality is concerned, and more powerful than most of the low-cost white noise machines I've tried.

    • @Amal-eh4jf
      @Amal-eh4jf 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I use a white noise app that I downloaded, it masks voice and some other noises but it doesn't work for music and banging. I can't sleep while earpods or headphones on my ears because my ears are sensitive and I will itchy ears afterwards.

    • @nosleeplessnights1
      @nosleeplessnights1  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately, some noise sources are very difficult to block out. I have a lot of different noise blocking/masking/cancelling products in my cupboards, but when my neighbor's teenage kids decide to play Drum and Bass till 3am when the parents are away, there is literally nothing I have that will 100% stop it from rumbling through the wall, across the floor, up the bed frame, through the mattress, and into my brain!
      I have things that will completely block out some noise sources, but loud music played through big speakers are hard to block out. Same for banging on the ceiling above you.
      I wish I had a better answer for you, but in this case, I don't think a white noise machine will block out what you have.
      You can always try it, and get a refund if it doesn't work I suppose. But I wouldn't get your hopes up too much:--)
