  • Cedar Breaks National Monument is considered by most, a good alternative to Bryce Canyon National Park. It is on a much smaller scale, but does look very similar. You can use your National Parks Pass here or you can buy a single day use pass, either one. Honestly, Rob & I both thought this area was prettier than the Grand Canyon because of the colors. So ifnyiure going to be in are area for Zion or Bryce Canyon, make sure you check out Cedar Breaks, as well!
The road to Cedar Breaks is only open June- October because they get so much snow at this really high elevation, so be sure plan plan accordingly to view this area. There are 25 tiny little campsites on premise but they're so small, I felt squishy just driving my jeep on some of the curves. I'd only suggest it if you're tent camping.
We boondocked about 25 minutes down the road at Unita Flat Dispersed Campground while seeing the area. That. Ideo is already posted if you want to check that out.

I hope to make it there (maybe not all the trails) this summer. Thank you for a place that won’t be elbow to elbow ❤

It's such a beautiful area! We were happy to find a spot to be able to stay for a while close enough to a lot of beautiful places. It's not busy & beautiful!

It's such a pretty spot! We went a few different days while in the area cause it was close enough to where we were boondocking.
