    That looks great.
    And it looks historically accurate.
I can tell because I meet the leading engeneer of Death Star 2 last Wednesday in the underground coincidentally. We talked a bit. Nice chap. And he told me abiut the colours of Death Star 2 and he mentioned exactly the ones you used. I swear he did!

I believe you, you wouldn't just go on the internet and make up a thing like this. You couldn't!

      Mmmmm. Paaaiiint.
I think it's the color rendition ony tablet but the thumbnail looked as if it were purple.
Given that it's Herbert painting it that seemed reasonable.
As it is, I thought he'd gone overboard with the separate panel colors, but the final dry brushing muted them perfectly.
I don't know why Herbert hates painting so much. It's not as if he's bad at it.

I don't hate painting. There's just no reason for me to push too hard with painting videos. They usually get less views and take more time to make. I'd stop enjoying painting if I had to try and keep up with a weekly or fortnightly painting video schedule. There's no benefit for me to start setting deadlines etc.

@@HerbertErpaderp As I'm retired, I agree about deadlines. I don't understand why your painting videos get fewer views but then people can be fickle. Me, if I subscribe to a creator it's because they make content I'm pretty much guaranteed to want to watch whatever they choose to do. You can probably tell from your stats that I haven't missed a video of yours (knowingly anyway) pretty much since I first signed up.
But you *did* promise more painting videos. 😁
Which reminds me: what are your criteria for choosing what to paint? Obviously thinking you can make the process fit into an algorithm-approved-length video is a consideration. Do subjects from construction vids that got lots of views get priority? Models that you want to paint funky colors to piss off the rivet counters? Whatever's in reach when you're in the mood?

@@HerbertErpaderp I understand what you're saying H. I just love watching a Herbert Erpaderp doing Herbert Erpaderp things, I guess. Like Mark, I can't understand why the painting videos get less views. To me it's the most relaxing part of a build.

@@markfergerson2145 Viewers and the vagaries of the algorithm are indeed a bit fickle. Maybe painting videos would get more views if I titled them "THE BEST way to paint ___" or something ha! I did promise to do more painting videos, and I am, last year I did almost none (or maybe even none at all, I'm not sure) As for what I choose to paint, I don't really take youtube algorithms into consideration nor which build videos got more views, though, that might be a smart idea. The way I choose is usually just what I feel like painting. And maybe trying to avoid doing two similar paint jobs in a row. Currently though, I'm mostly working through a backlog of projects I started and didn't finish
