Thanks for this video including the safety switch pointers. You are greening the planet one vacuum cleaner at a time. Thanks from Lake In The Hills, IL, USA.
Very nice and useful, video, thanks you for taking the time to show us how simple it is. I did have a bit of a problem of putting the cover/retaining plate back on over the power cord. Again thank your for hour time and the video. Steve
hi plz help i got kirby sentria 2 from Amazon, and i think its 110 volts , and i pluged it into 210 volts : ( did i burn the machine, what do i do to use it in my country.
Useless video. The crucial step I could not do is not shown as you have your hand over the cover plate. I only need to know how to get the cover plate off after removing the screw.
Thanks to this video, I was able to change my cord on my Kirby!! Never imagined I could do this!!! So happy!!

Thank you for this video. This saved me money by not taking to the dealer to be fixed.
What type of screwdriver is being used?
Torx. I had to use a Torx 5 and Torx 10 for the 3 different screws (how ergonomic)
Awesome.....just replaced the brushes but I suspected it was the power cord....THANKYOU,!
No problem I like putting up the vids. Glad to help :)

It looked like he simply twisted it counterclockwise to free up the cover plate. I appreciated his simple, straightforward approach.
I agree, I turned counter clockwise and it wouldn't come out.
You can repair it! Just cut and splice and tape. Dumb video
