Dave Fish ? Pretty sure it doesn't have two of those things, this is arcade-perfect emulation which is why it has an extra frame of input lag. The netcode is GGPO (which is awesome) but problem is no matchmaking based on latency.

I myself, born in 90 never truly got too experience the arcade competitive scene. I was more or less an on looker as a 5 or 6 year old in the mvc days. Admiring from the back of the arcade at people crowded around the machines. This past weekend, last night in fact. Got to play third strike with someone in Portland at ground kontrol for the first time. Dude was a scrub I admit, but the old machine with the American style layout inhibited me a bit. Giving him somewhat of a handicap. We played a few rounds and I got too feel that thing that everyone always says about the arcades in the old'n days. That win, proof of skill and triumph. It was good, man, and I wish that our culture still embraced the idea of social gaming in the way that we did in the 80's and 90's. Because that is something that I know that I would cherish, and a setting that I would find myself in every weekend.

If the original Street Fighter was released in 1987, why are we celebrating the 30th anniversary in 2018?
Will Capcom address why the collection claims to be "arcade perfect" when background details (like the symbol on Guile stage) were altered. and only the first builds of the games were used, even though it was known (even back then) that the North American Super Turbo was broken? I live in Europe, I did not play a North American Super Turbo build. Why do I have to play this now, when it has to be "just as you remembered"

    • @hoodmistressreloaded
      @hoodmistressreloaded 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

To (probably) answer your first question, they were just late on releasing this, coming off back-to-back anniversaries (Street Fighter II 25th Anniversary in 2016, and SF's 30th as whole in 2017).
For your 2nd question, more advanced hardware...as far as changing the star design on Guile's level.
Lastly, I agree on the NA version of Super Turbo being broken as all get out (I live in America). The AI is merciless

The sound of Street Fighter II's punches are just the epitome of satisfying. I wish the newer games had sounds that are that satisfying and awesome. The music has NEVER been beaten in any game IMO The guys responsible for the sounds/music are legends.

Street Fighter has always been my favorite fighting game series, with Tekken being a close second. Anime fighters like Blazblue and others of its kind just don't do t for me due to the fact that there s way too much happening on the screen at once. From what I've seen so far from the Arcade Edition, Capcom are definitely listening to the fans of the series, thus giving the game the comeback it needs.

Even after twenty-some-odd years, I still have to thank my cousin for putting me onto Street Fighter II back in 1992; otherwise, I would've never been big on the franchise as a whole (hey, I gotta start somewhere 😊). He's the reason I kept begging my momma to take me to my granny's place (may she RIP) to play it, and to get me an SNES for my birthday. And shouts out to my fellow Chun-Li players in the thread (though I admittedly started off with Blanka).
Random side note: Pikachu makes an appearance at 21:20 in a documentary about SF. Adorable, but cool ☺

There’s a reason Street Fighter 2 is known as the “Pac-Man of the 90s”. It set the bar for all fighters and quarter dropping for all games to follow.

My first experience with street fighter was the special champion edition for sega genesis. I still love it and still play it. Been playing it lately on my genesis mini with the new official wireless 6 button controllers. Also have the 30th anniversary collection on Nintendo switch. So now I can directly compare the sega with the arcade that it was ported from. I also have the snes mini. I love comparing all the different ports. Also now I can use the sega 6 button controller on the Nintendo switch so that I can retain the wonderful controls from the sega !

If anyone at Capcom or Digital Eclipse is reading this, please do something about the 'missing' games in this compilation.
    - Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha (i.e. Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold)
    - Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper (i.e. Street Fighter Alpha 3 with the console exclusive characters)
And while you're at it, fans would like:
    - Hyper Street Fighter II
    - Hyper Street Fighter III
    - Hyper Street Fighter Alpha
    - Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix
    - Super Puzzle Fighter
While you're at it, why not a PS4 disc release for Ultra Street Fighter IV or just make a Hyper Street Fighter IV on disc and let us choose between all versions of the characters?
Can we also get a "Vs" collection too?
    - X-Men Vs. Street Fighter
    - Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter
    - Marvel Vs. Capcom
    - Marvel Vs. Capcom 2
    - Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
    - Capcom Vs. SNK PRO
    - Capcom Vs. SNK 2
    - Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom
    - SVC Chaos: SNK Vs. Capcom

AGREED, THIS COLLECTION IS NOT. GOOD. ENOUGH CAPCOM! PATCH IN THESE IMPROVEMENTS IMMEDIATELY:
      1. needs to include all the Halo games
2.needs to be able to morph into a sponge and clean my bathroom
3.this collection should be able to scavenge the woods for food for me and my family
MAKE THESE IMPROVEMENTS CAPCOM AND I'LL CONSIDER BUYING YOUR "VIDEO GAME"... MAYBE!!1😤
