Just messed around with this putter yesterday at golf mart.. and I’ve never felt in so much control of my speed. Wasn’t in the market for a putter but I’m heavily considering buying it today
Update; I bought it. Already played 2 rounds with it and my lags have never been better. Was considering reselling it but it’s staying in the bag.

The same thing happened to LAB golf after Glover’s wins. They sold more broomstick Mezz 1’s in the two weeks after his wins than they had sold in the previous two years!

Was playing the jailbird about 5 years ago. Went cold so I traded it in for $50. Now I see them on eBay for $1000+.. now I will never trade in a club again

How are the pros so successful with micro-hinge on extremely fast greens if it has such a predisposition to increased rotation?

@@erflog no the one with the microhinge is. Personally I prefer the feel of the micro hinge insert but some people would prefer the white hot.

I was able to get the jailbird ordered the other day. Mine will have the WH insert.. However, you made mention that the insert can be changed? How would I be able to make that happen? The greens I play typically run a little slower and I think the micro hinge insert might be a bit better.
Thoughts on the new white hot version of this?

I use the older model and put lead tape on the bottom. Would the mini be better with a weight port? 19:23
What happens if you decrease the lift? Say 1 or 0 degrees?

Ventus red tipped 2” had so many nuggets of info. Exploring excessive tipping on a butt soft shaft (suggested by Ian) would be rad! Love all your techy videos by the guru himself❤

Can non tour affiliated civilians swap out inserts in these putters or is that only something those affiliated with Callaway/Odyssey can make happen?
Can you show us a difference when replacing the two putter faces (micro hinge vs white hot)?

Yes - this is the original version with the little teeth.

My Scotty phantom X 9.5 was lowered from 2.5° to 2° of loft to get my launch under 2°
Surprised you didn’t keep the micro hinge face and just lower the loft.

I bought the jailbird with the white hot face and one with the hinge face. The white hot face was miles better than the hinge face. The white putter works fantastic on all speed greens. The hinge face is terrible on slower greens. These guys will tell you differently but they are wrong. Go with the WhiteHot face on the Jailbird. It is amazing. The other face, not so good.
I have the jailbird at 39 inches I’m 5’7 in height should I cut it to 37 inches? Or any recommendations?
Hey there Cocoa.
The best way to know what's best for your game is to come in and do a putter fitting. Putting is 30-40% of your strokes, so it's extremely important to do that right. It's hard to tell if that putter is best for you because we have no idea on how you deliver the club, or if you have any consistent misses.
All of that will be answered from going through a fitting though! And then, your fitter will undoubtedly have recommendations for length, loft, lie, and more to help you score better!
