- I know that people like to watch these after the fact, so rather than spoiling how it goes, I'll just say this was a very tough seed! All I'll say is that I'm pretty happy with my final time, all things considered.

Thank you Ryu, not just for another great gameplay but for inspiring me to download Snes9x and start doing randomizers myself. They're so super fun! My first seed was rough; considering I havent played a top-down Zelda game in at least 6 or 7 years and having to use a keyboard, I was pretty clumsy overall. Whats worse is I had to endure most of the game with the weakest shield, weakest armor, only 1 bottle and subpar Hearts to work with. I didn't get blue mail 'till the Boss of my 6th Crystal. My one saving grace was getting 1/4 Magic very early on, otherwise i woulda been toast.
Thanks Ryu, i didn't know a thing like this existed and thanks to you I've rediscovered a great game with an amazing twist.

ryukahr - I personally love the mix up of this run compared to the other randomizers you've done.

FYI as I understand it, the Glitch options in the randomizer change the logic possibilities so that it can require you to know how to perform said glitches in order to progress, not that the options enable or disable said glitches. The logic has also been updated recently so that you aren't actually required to enter any area that requires the lantern (to avoid a black screen) without being able to obtain it while avoiding those screens.

Just got in to randomizer tonight and loving it. For what its worth, for my very first experience, I didn't get all 3 master swords until Ganon's castle *cry* Thanks for the vid!

Hey Ryukahr, thank you for posting another Zelda randomizer!!
Ryu, in the casual seed mode, you start with the lantern will light up dark rooms in the light world only. It will NOT work as a fire source or light up dark world rooms.
Ryu's randomizer LTTP runs in a nutshell: *sees medal at eastern*, awesome i dont need to go to eastern, *2 hours later*, ... i need to go to eastern.
Dammit! I missed this stream. Different time zones... fuck! Anyway, amazing job there, Ryu. I´ve began to play and speedrun this game thanks to you, and it´s so much fun! Definitely up for it if you decide to play another round of this on friday.
The new runs have encouraged me to go back and watch these ones, too! This seed is just the worst, haha. Good content, though. What makes these fun to watch is the "getting creative" part when you're making do with suboptimal gear.

20:00 When you said you couldn't go to Dark World because you didn't have the hammer, I was about to lose my shit because I knew you had just gotten the Titan's Mitt, which meant you wee able to go to Dark World via the Village of Outcasts warp north of Kakariko, AKA the most useful warp in all of rando.
I can't stop playing this randomizer lately. Great time man! Hey, fyi you can buy a shield from a shop near the dark world town instead of actually collecting it. My latest run I never even found my shield, but I bought one instead because I kept getting shot by arrows and being confused by being unable to block so late in the game.
You missed that obvious house in the Dark village! The evil part of me was hoping the hammer or bow was in there :)
What are the yellow bombs with a +10 being found? eg 2:31:15. Is it maximum bomb capacity increase??? If so does the fairy fountain of happiness gift out proper items!?
I love old-school Ryu. He was a bit less chill than he is now, and swore a lot more.
You know what would be an ultimate speed run challenge? A blind speed run, where you have never played nor seen the game before.

Got a preference between Snes9x and ZSNES? I've only ever used the latter, and I don't know if I ever played anything on it besides Harvest Moon SNES.
I've seen how good you are at games and it's a completely remade world for link to the past and it's for experts only it took me like a whole day to beat it and I'm good at snes zelda parallel worlds is perfect for your skills

shield on ped and turtle rock was required for that? cool thing about logic states if there's keys on laser bridge, you'll have to find a cane or cape to get the ped shield.
My first alltp randomizer run i was so confident with no tracker... Stoopid needed bugs killed it.. How the hell was i supposed to know what flipper skip and 1st chest in hookshot cave.. (the hookshot was in hookshot cave lol) I think there should be a complete glitchless for all the ppl like me who know everything about the game but not about the "appaently KNOWN" glitches.. Must have been 3 hours of me tearing my hair out because (i thought) there was nowhere to go!!!!!!!!!!!

This randomiser is the derp knight seed. Best sword and armor but nothing else until way later by the looks of things
@ryu: 2 things. you walked by the library and a house in the dark world (right side, above the one with the hammer pegs in front) like 10 times w/o checking them. Drove me nuts!

Awesome, but the location tracker was kinda fun. It made it easy for me as a viewer to see what you had and what you still needed. Still a great watch though.
How do i go about playing Randomizer. I usually 100% ALTTP every other month. It's such a fun breezy game. I'd love to play this, it will give the game so much replayability.

Hey Ryu, love all your streams, and these ALTTP playthroughs are fantastic. I liked the streams so much that I watched some races on youtube from other players from about a month or 2 ago. One reoccurring theme I've seen is people running low on mana at key times. Back in vanilla ALTTP you could use the ice rod on an enemy and then hit it with the hammer and it would almost always give you mana. Is that a thing that exists in these randomizers? Thanks in advance.

Have any of you guys noticed that when Ryu is talking, the last few words of most of his sentences are in a higher pitch? Not complaining or anything, it was just something I noticed. :)
That's kinda just how he talks.
What's the point of doing a random seed if you're still going to use the flipper glitch. The challenge is finding the actual flipper RAMNDOMLY, so that only then can u advance and check certain areas. It's one small thing I guess but it still defeats part of the whole purpose

where did you get the rom and/ or seed
or at least which specific rom did you use because when I try to put in a rom in the website it say that the rom isn't recognized

There is a seed alttp Randomizer online that uses it to make you random seeds.

bomb upgrades like you'd normally get from the fairy in the center of lake hylia. they spread the arrow and bomb upgrades around as findable items

Don't play Sly Cooper. Play Half-Life or Donkey Kong Country 2, perhaps a nice game of Shovel Knight or Cave Story True Ending. Mother 3 is another good choice. Anything but Sly, great game, just not a good streaming game.
