Reporting MAJOR PROGESS, Doc! I am having so many more feelings that I can identity in my self and others than ever before. Please remember I am coming out of a complete shut-down trauma of more than 40 years, so to have even negative emotions that I can identify is real progress for me.

Did you feel like you were in a state of dissociation before, and now you can feel? I have been in shut down for about 3 months and having such a hard time with constantly feeling numb, emotionally and physically. I am happy your healing, and wondering how you have done this. Did you get help from any trauma specialists?

I thought Depression, anger and anxiety were a package deal. I don't remember a time when I didn't have all 3 in some form. Thank you for addressing these together.

Yes, they are a package deal that come with trauma. I say that simply because they cycle through for me because of an identified trauma of having my personality taken away from me. It is an attempt, more me, to come out of death energy for a new renewal!

Well TH-cam fam. Its bounce back time. From November 22 to Feb 23 .. I helped my 85 year old dad in his final battle with dysphagia. He passed away February 11 this year. Obviously 14 hour days between work and home and watching someone deal with some problems that can't be solved took everything out of me. I think March and April has brought on a depressive episode and now its rallly time. Tough times don't last tough people do.And tough times don't make the man ...they reveal him.

@@dellamazon7661many thanks ..there are people in way worse situations than me. Not gonna lie though losing the second parent definitely stings. When I lost my mom in Feb 2013 it took me till about to September to really feel back to normal .Right now its one day at a time till a sense of normalcy returns . 🙏❤🙏

@@DocSnipeshi Doc Snipes. Thank you for enquiring . This time I will be trying to process my grief in healthier ways. When my mom passed in 2013 I gravitated to avoiding my feelings with on line random hookups and other forms of unhealthy sex addiction activities. This time I am going to try to process any unhealthy negative emotion through healthier activities like exercising, cooking healthy meals and learning proper financial planning strategies as I prepare for my retirement. I started working on my MBA online last September and I'm finding the courses and community there provide a bit of anchor and helps with the isolation and lonliness.

Thank you so much for this video. I wonder if you could also explain how shame can come into the equation. I have the impression that while my shame is dissipating thanks to therapy, my avoidance is lessening, but now I've got so much anger to deal with! I'm looking forward to use the threat assessment matrix, it seems quite useful to unpack the different nuances of anger and the fears that are activated.
