This is absolutely brilliant. I would never have been able to solve my noisy lock problem without this youtube view program.
Thanks for your kind comments and glad the video helped ☺️
Wonderful! Mechanics are replacing the whole mechanism to solve this problem.
100% going to try this on my xtrail thank you so much!
One of the great Note videos . Saved fortunes for many drivers. Including me.😂 10 our of 10. Excellent.
Thank you 👍. Glad the video helped
Had this issue for time. You Legend! ..saved me money and worked in 2 mins!
I was honestly doubting this video but it actually worked 😂😂
😊
Can you leave a comment for which Nissan model you tried this?
@@SledCE 2007 Nissan Micra
Thanks for sharing your idea and technics, I had same problem just started. once again thank you
Thanks for this video.
Like a lot of other comments I was super dubious as I couldn’t see the pin you were referring to in your video, but I thought let’s have a look.
I could actually see the pin you referred too before I unscrewed the locking mechanism so thought that’s a good start.
After getting some room I couldn’t budge the pin so nearly gave up. After some perseverance it started to move and “hay presto”, it went all the way in and the noise is gone.
Thanks for the tip, my daughter is super happy the noise has gone on her car and I’m a hero.
Cheers!
Glad you managed to sort the problem. Unfortunately no matter which ever angle I tried couldn't get the camera to pick up the pin. But hey main thing is your daughter is happy.
Omg I can’t wait to try this on mine, hope it works! You’re a life saver, if so.
Let me know how you get on.
Brilliant, just bought my 2008 xtrail and it had this problem. Fixed straight away 🙂🙂
Awesome, had same problem on my XTRAIL & it comes back again after a year. Always come back to this video. Thanks a lot.
Glad the video helped. Thanks for your kind comments
I literally thought it was just me! Thank you so much 👍🏼👍🏼❤
Thank you very much! Same fix on a 2014 Infiniti G37s/Q60s. Slightly different angle. Removed bottom two screws , leveraged the lock toward the outside of the vehicle then put a screwdriver through the screw hole closest to the cabin and could reach the pin and push it back in.
AHH good stuff. Thanks for the details around the G37/Q60
Damn, I'm saving this video. I just got a used nissan rogue and it makes the same noise. Previous owner said it did that the whole time she had it so it must be normal. I was like..no..it should not make that sound. I was about to go price out a new actuator. I'm gonna hold off on that till I try finding that pin this weekend.
Thank you! I’m going to try it!
I fixed my central locking noise using this method!! Thank you so much such a relief to have it back to normal! 👍👍😀😀
Thanks for your kind comments and glad the video was helpful 👍
Worked for me .thanks 👍
Just tried and it worked! Thanks!
Glad it worked for you
Thank you so much, this actually worked
Glad to have been of assistance
You have the #1 answer to this situation! Auto Zone wanted to send me to a Nissan Dealership!$!
🤣
Your the mann bro
Thanks for posting this and like others have said, it solved my issue too!!
Glad it helped and thank you for your kind comments 😊
Thank so much !!!
Thanks for this.
Had the problem on my Nissan 370z and your video showed me how to sort it out. In fact, it's even easier on a 370z, because you don't need to unscrew anything - the pin is accessible with the mechanism screwed in place. 2 seconds and it's mended.
Glad it worked for you.
I have the same problem with my z but I don’t see any pins sticking out? lmk how you got it fixed pls
@@mjlagatao8031 All the videos on this subject show it quite clearly. Have another look at them. Good luck.
What angle did you insert the screwdriver to push the pin back in?
Thanks, i had the same problem on my xtrail
I got this on my xtrail too will have a look today thanks
Hope it works out for you!
My car door sounds very loud and embarrassing and It get crazy sometimes. I will try this hopes it will work
Would the same fix work on a 2016 Hyundai Elantra making the same noise? If the noise come from the right rear door, should we check and push the pin on that door or on the driver door?
@@benjaminnkenni4883 not sure to be honest, but worth a try if it's a similar noise
You showed nothing??!
My Juke makes that noise when I lock it, but when I checked the lock, I didn't see a pin. Any thoughts?
Door actuator
@@lowlowsandclothes9923 is that a tool or something?
@@HeyYouShouldSmile That is the actual device that locks the door, that one that got loose in this video by removing those screws, you will have to replace it
Hi, the right door of my Qashqai does not open from the outside when I use the keyless or the remote control, if instead I open from the inside and then close the opening works again from the outside but only for once. how can I fix it? I have to change the lock, I noticed that the centralised opening mechanism does not unlock that door but all the others of, thanks
This sounds like the central locking mechanism sticking ..you might get away with trying WD 40...if that doesn't work then looks like that door's mechanism will need changing
@@sutsi thanks a lot
Does this work on Nissan Altima 2010. I have the same issue since yesterday.
Yes it should, I think it's a similar if not same mechanism
I couldn’t see the pin. My hardware is black, yours was silver/different so what do you suggest? I really don’t want to take the whole door panel off. 😢
Hi, if you're not able to locate or sight the pin in your vehicle unfortunately no other option 😞
Well this didnt work on my 370z. Im assuming I have to replace the actuator.
Is the noise from left passenger door you can fix any door individually?
I only had issues with either passenger or driver door...but I believe it's same sort of mechanism in the rear so should be able to fix using same technique
I wish could see that pin clearly and fix it I have the same kind of noise on my Holden Barina TM 2012 but can’t see any pin there
Oh dear, looks like on your one door card off and mechanism out. If doing that better to just change it.
Worked for me on a 2004 Nissan Micra, did it on driver's side as that was where noise was coming from.
Cheers! 👍
Glad to hear it worked for you
i cant find pin on 09 murano
Where isthe pinn??
I have nissan versa sedan 2015 same problem making noise while locking, my car has different type of screws, can't unscrew and can't see pin , mechanic says to replace whole thing.
To fix permanently you would need to replace unit...but if you can see pin then this is the cheap option. Hope it works out for you
Thanks for your reply, it worked for 1 or 2 time, I randomly pressed inside without unscrewing but again it started making noise, I think I will keep trying
Because mechanic ask too much money
@@sureshgrover290 if you can try to take off the door card and see if you can see the screws that way
Sorry for the late, I will try and let you know, thanks.
Can’t find the pin on a 2017 challenger
He said Nissan
I have a 2017 challenger RT as well man, I was hoping there would be a pin because the noise is awful. Started one day ago and I already am annoyed. I’ll take a look and see if I notice a pin and hopefully don’t have to replace the whole lock actuator
Yea I had to replace the actuator. No pin for challenger.
@@dtonezxtreme03 Damn!
Not sure how resetting a pin fixes a failing actuator...
Mine is making same noice but there’s is no pin, there… I looked it up multiple times
It's definitely there ..if you look down with torch you'll see it protuding out ever so slightly
My 2015 Versa is doing his now
Hope this vid helps you with the issue
this didn’t help at all. i couldn’t find a nail!!! it still made noise
Seems un-realistic.
Did you try it?
