Batteries plus carries them too. $86 or $110. The 86 dollar ones need to be drained for max performance.
what do you mean needs to be drained is that 86 a piece
I got to the batteries, but they don't want to lift out. I don't see any fasteners. What's holding them down? Any tricks for that?
I bought me a set of Craftsman Ratchiting boxend wrenches to do stuff like that.
Cause with those type of wrenches
I dont need to put the wrench on
& take it off everytime I loosen or tighten

Just went through this but removing seat was impossible for an 86yr woman, got help. Worked great but now motor is leaking oil, what great timing! Or life’s a b....!
motors have a gearcase and have grease not. oil motors donot have oil,unless sombody messed up
cripe sake dont you have fast forward system for removing screws? and put cabels on befor you drop batteries in machine,and you can get batterys cheaper on ebay free shipping

trying our hardest to change a battery on an m51 but can't get the seat off to save our lives Unplugged the joystick like it said- folded seat down like it said- pressed lever and pulled seat up like it said. Nothing....any suggestions please?
I've heard of situations like you have described. I have a Proto 41 series so when I began to work on it because battery plus will only replace the batteries not my four dolly wheels etc. if I have to learn to do all this repair myself then I am going to remove the arms of my chair unplug everything and lift the seat off to the best of my ability. I hope this information helps.

I have changed the batteries in my chair and they paid me for the old batteries because they are recyclable and I found the new batteries at the tractor supply store. Because they are the same thing as riding lawnmower batteries and arc batteries price for mine fifty dollars each and got five for each core I learned quickly that you don’t go to any medical supply because they will charge you ridiculous amount of money for what you can buy for a tractor 🚜 cheap
