Wizards and Warriors Channel fantasy animated documentary video series on the lore Warhammer Fantasy Battles Universe continues with an aftermath of our episode on the life and battle of Sigmar Heldenhammer ( • How Sigmar Won His Bat... ). Crisis called the End Times is upon the world and it is beckoned by the Champion of Chaos Archaon the Everchosen. In the aftermath of his conquest if the Norsca and victory over the northern Dwarfs ( • Warhammer End Times: R... ), continues its advance this time attacking Kislev ruled by the Ice Queen Katarin Bokha ( • Warhammer End Times: C... ). This opened the route towards the Auric Bastion raised by the leading wizard of the Empire Balthasar Gelt and its breaking in Ostland culminated at the battle of the Castle Rackspire, where the Empire received unexpected help from the Vampire counts in the face of Vlad von Carstein ( • Chaos Invades the Empi... ). But this was just the beginning and the Chaos incursion into the Empire continued with the Rise of the Glottkin brothers ( • Rise of the Glottkin -... ) which led to the Fall of Marienburg ( • Fall of Marienburg - W... ). The inexorable movement of the Chaos armies continued with the Skaven invasion of Tilea and the siege of Miragliano ( • Skaven Invasion - Warh... ) and during the fall of Bretonnia ( • Fall of Bretonnia - Wa... ). With the fall of Bretonnia and Marienburg before it, the route to the Empire's capital, Altdorf was open and the Emperor Karl Franz alongside his allies from Bretonnia and Vampire Counts had to defend the city ( • Fall of Altdorf - Warh... ). Elsewhere, the Skaven attacked the Lizardmen of Lustria.

Has Wizards and Warriors reached the End Times yet?
Why would Malekith do something like this? I mean, he is prideful, but also smart. And even Morathi seemed to become aware of the danger. So, why act so recklessly?
You know, I'm starting to understand why Warhammer fans hated the End Times.
Yeah, Chaos was way too OP and there were so many retcons. For instance, the Malekith as true Phoenix King reveal. That came out of nowhere.

It was pretty much "Aight just make him king lmao."
@@nikoladedic6623 yea, then treating him like sh!t during the final battle. Even if his fate thru the centuries was a struggle to make him deserving of the phoenix throne, Malekith paralyzed in the end cheapened it. Also, poor seraphon, lost his identity and became an AOS faction!
I think Gav Thorpe did an excellent job with Malekiths story. Imrik siding with him was a great twist as well, considering the 3rd book in Tale of the Sundering, Caledor
It seems the video glanced over the fact that Malekith killed Valkia and her army and then killed Skarbrand and his host before getting to Ghrond.
Tetto’eko was a skink starpriest. Not a slann. Though he was just as powerful as a slann.

What i hate about the end times as all the good guys are disorganized and dont help eachother. Also, the lizards losing (if even momentarily) to the rats just rubs me the wrong way
Seriously...Skaven did like 90% of the work in ruining the world...All Chaos did was finish off the scraps.
I swear, the End Times character assassinated every character in the lore:
Teclis being a manipulative prick who betrays everyone, while in the lore he is one of the most altruistic Elves who sees how all the races are in this together.
Morathi telling Malekith that pursuing the path of the Phoenix King would be renouncing her, when it was she who set him on that path in the first place.
And finally the Slaan shielding the lesser races instead of Lustria.
To be fair, The End Times' whole point is to character-assassinate the setting, so... Seems to track to me.

Its more like saying that you are gonna die either way so why cant I kill you, and if I do why cant I choose even the most cruel option?
It IS a big deal how you end the story because that is the most important part of the story. All those books you read is to reach this point to see where it all gonna end... And now its dumb. This can ruin reading even in retrospec. You feel the time reading the previous books wasted because in the end they just threw away everthing in this way.
Achilles died in battle. How dumb the story would be if his death was from food poisining in the end. Then why did you bother, or why did you care wether he will succed or not.
So in short: it is defenatly not a good analogy.
@@notrather5514 No? It wasn't the end of the story at all. It was a marketing-motivated move to destroy the old and bring in a softer, gentler, more-appropriate-for-"modern-audiences" story. If you can't see that, I feel bad for you.

Lizardmen are the best race, they should have dedicated the whole video to them to give more detail. The showdown between Gor rok and skrolk was epic

Tetto'eko is a skink, not a slann, but he is revered by the rest of the slann for his prediction of the future, and his magical prowess. Even the Temple guard would defend him.
Tettoeko was a skink, not a slann. Also, not a mention of Gor-Rok, who held the bridge of stars against a horde of elite skaven, or Kroq-Gar's battle against Skrolk, wherein the both the rat and Grymloq were slain
Skrolk didn't die, he was saved by the Verminlord Vermalanx at the last moments. It's unknown where he went, although it's likely he was among the founders of the "modern" Clans Pestilens in Blight City. I theorise he might have become a Verminlord himself, maybe Sepskrik the Foul, but who knows really.
They forgot the part when the skaven blow up the chaos moon because of clan shenanigans (Skaven be Skaven) and nearly destroy the world
And now we come to the Elven storyline. The best and worst part of the End Times narrative. So many glorious and supremely stupid moments ahead. ;)
The malekith part was indeed supremely stupid, i'm now eager to see what's next
Best is the Settra moment, I’m excited for that episode.
You missed the best part of the Skaven invasion: to conquer Tlaxtlan, the skaven sent wave after wave of skaven at the walls. The first wave had nowhere to go, so they were crushed by the second, who were in turn crushed by the third, and so on until so many skaven died that the latter waves could just walk over the bodies to climb the wall. And they still conquered the city.

Now I can see how crazy the endtimes really was.
Another great video in a great series. I was never into Warhammer Fantasy but seeing these videos explain the whole situation, I can see why players and fans were pissed off with the End Times. I mean, I don't even know who a lot of the characters are, but even I can see that GW had them making decisions that were out of sorts and make no sense.
Shaking my head at “Marco Columbo”, GW are something else lmao
Besides people pointing out Tetto'ekko being a Skink, another error showed Lord Kroak as alive and with flesh.
In reality Lord Kroak was dead, but his spirit was so powerful in magic that he could still cast through it. He even survives to Age of Sigmar.
Actually in end times he wills himself back alive for a moment

Two of my favorite factions in Warhammer Fantasy duking it out. Skaven and Lizardmen are for me the best things GW developed for Warhammer FB.
The more I listen... your voice becomes a relaxing music to my ears. I love listening and watching your channel Kings and Generals... and I was shocked you got a channel for fantasy! I am very happy now that I got more options.

Thank you so much for these videos. The details you show hear and the characters you name are never talked about in the fandom (which spawned mostly from WH3), and it lets me fall in love with the universe all over again. Its just a shame Chaos wins in the end.

everything in tet was a gimmick.
"Seeking to reclaim their relm of old....." how can the skaven reclaim.a relm they never had, as the slann were their first and never lost it. Just more quality end times writing. Its true credit to K&G they can polish this turd of a story to such a luster
The video is great, ammount of effort put into the writing, animation and voiceacting is truely incredible.
But I personally prefer focusing more in detail on the campains and battles insted of glossing over the details like many already existing lore videos do. Of course in this case it's imposiible but the battle of Itza is still my favourite part of this video
I know that its still warhammer but I would love some Age of Sigmar. But covering later or even present campaines to dissosiate it from the End Times and the WHFB in general. AoS is good enough to stand on its own!

So I am new to warhammer. Can someone explain to me at this moment with the new expansion. Is chaos winning? like which fraction in the lore is the strongest and is humanity with the elves losing? Seems like the prime evils so strong. Sorry for much of the questions I'm 19 and there so much content out there and I want to get up to speed.

I don't like this end times. I prefer to believe in a good ol' story of forces of good united against the forces of evil. I always imagine them fighting side by side, I imagine a huge army made of Lustrians, humans, elves, and dwarf set aside their differences and unite under one banner to stem the tide of chaos, maybe it could end by finally closing every gates and banished chaos from the realm. Something like that :(

Are Lizardmen... good guys? Always thought they were evil.
they are neither good nor evil. it just so happens to be that e.g. human and elves are part of the great plan and skaven or chaos arent, which is why the latter will be killed while the other order factions will be tolerated. Lizardmen are more of a "force of nature" than anything else.
There are the best guys!
They are defenders of the world and fight chaos at all sides. Neutral good.
They are essentially biological Anti-Chaos machines.
They are "technically" on the side of good but are so dogmatic and alien-minded that they can easily be villains from multiple perspectives. But they mainly hate and want to kill Chaos and other bad races, and are generally fine with good races as long as they don't act out of line.
As a casual fan of warhammer, can someone explain to me why End of Times is so hated.
It destroyed everything.
Basically, it's hated because the good guys lost in a stupid way. Since it's the End Times they were obviously going to lose, but there were so many stupidly bad decisions by the good guys, plot convenient successes by the bad guys, etc. that it didn't feel like the good guys legitimately lost because they were outmatched
Yeah like the lizerdmen getting wiped out early, they are the defenders of the world and why didn't they use their countless old ones artifact's.
They basically retconned/changed a lot of old lore to make it work and it was written less like a labour of love and more like an attempt to finish off the old setting so they could start selling the new one.
The most infamous example of bad storywriting is probably with Malekith. Malekith has constantly been portrayed as evil, ruthless, egocentric elf Darth Vader/Sauron, and in one major book series killed the previous Everqueen and then sent a greater Daemon of Slaanesh to kill her daughter. This is a huge deal since the Everqueen is like a matrilineal Jesus figure to the elves, and Slaanesh daemons are the LAST thing you want to be killed by. Dark Elves up to this point have been shown to deal with chaos magic and worship Slaanesh via pleasure cults. Malekith was also burned to a crisp when he originally tried to become Phoenix king through betraying and poisoning the previous king leading to Asuryan (super Elf god) rejecting him when he walked into his sacred temple fire to be blessed.
They decided to retcon the Slaanesh worship and argue that Malekith was the true chosen one all along (keep in mind this guy and his mom are 90% of the reason why the elves got screwed over in the first place) and Asuryan ACTUALLY hates all the other phoenix kings but was apparently powerless to stop them and has been waiting for Malekith to return and take his rightful place as ruler of all the elves. So the guy who created an empire that's based completely off of rape, slavery, baby boiling (Google Khainite Assassins), and soul harvesting and has never done anything except make the world worse for everyone is the true chosen one to lead the elves who he's been routinely murdering for the past thousands of years.
There are many other examples...with my favorite being the fact that the Skaven did 90% of the work and all Archaon (the main bad guy) really did was finish off the leftovers...but the Malekith example is probably the best example of how crazy bad this all is.
Also the order gods (Taal, Ulric, Asuryan, Grungni etc.) were so laughably impotent and useless you wonder why they were ever called gods in the first place. Hell, Ulric gets the bulk of his power stolen by ONE elf who only uses it to bring ONE other elf back to life.

Thanks for the video! I admit the lizardmen and the elven parts had some stuff I liked and I didn't like.
for example, I would have the lizardmen join with the good guys in a last throw of the dice instead of fleeing to space.
For all those that dislike the Lizardmens role in the End times, consider this; That faction had never really been integrated into the main old-world and Elves focused Lore. They were too mighty, too alien and so they were always isolated in Lustria. So come the End Times, an entire Skaven Great Clan and the literal moon-crash is thrown at them, to prevent them from saving the World.
So they wrote themselves into a corner and just deus ex machina'd them. I definitely see why people find this storyline frustrating.
@@MicaiahBaron but that wasn't the fault of the End Times writers. They had to end the world, but the Lizardmen faction they had to work with was too strong to easily integrate with the rest.
The Lizardmen had been planning to leave the world since book one since they foresaw that the Great Plan failed. The Skaven just hurried them off the world
